Trying to genuinely understand someone else, in a way, is an act of love. Just think about it. It sometimes requires you to step outside of your own ego, to serve something higher than just yourself.

Some people can go months without seeing each other and pick right back up because the connection was never dependent on constant access but mutual connection, respect, and trust

Sometimes the boundary isn’t with another person. It’s with yourself. It’s deciding that you’re no longer going to keep saying yes, replying immediately, or making plans when your entire body is asking you to rest and be alone.
