A day for every breed, every background, every dog who's ever done something for us, service dogs, police dogs, search and rescue, and the one asleep on your couch right now.
Here's what we keep coming back to: a dog doesn't need much. Food, a roof, sure. But mostly, it needs 👉 YOU. Your attention. Your presence.
Dogs love with a kind of loyalty most people can't manage for anyone. And that love comes with a responsibility we don't get to walk away from.
At STRAY-vivor Family Day, Atty. Anna Cabrera put it in a way we haven't stopped thinking about: a stray isn't a stray because something's wrong with it. It's a stray because a person walked away.
So today is a reminder on two fronts:
give a second chance to the dogs still waiting for one, and actually show up for the dog already waiting for you at home ❤️
