I keep hearing people upset about art brokers I am not an expert in the field but how do we actually help the people in this situation the workers? if you have the brokers de-platformed or don't buy from them the broker and workers still go hungry at the end of the day. people want cheap art it's why skeb, fivver and ai art is so popular. what can we do besides screeching on twitter about it. I think AI might be the solution in this case for cheap art. artists marketing themselves as human made, ethically made artists. treating human made art as luxury. do you have any ideas on what to do besides screaming on twitter about it making lists/ anti-broker accounts to help these workers doing it for pennies or how to convince people to stop buying art?

So I have some concerns on the new "YouTube competitor" Haven that's had 2 unsuccessful attempts at a Kickstarter for a 100k for only server infrastructure, doesn't go into details on how moderation will work for people being flagged falsely for "AI slop" which is more common than you think these days even if they have an extensive back catalog before GenAI tools were open to the public. What the split between them and creators are going to be. How they are going to put in a system to defend against copyright trolls which YouTube struggles with even with their infrastructure. Unless you have the entire thing paywalled like nebula or use some kind of ai to scan videos/hirer a bunch of moderaters. I understand people being frustrated with the current situation of the world but this seems too good to be true especially for the cost to host high quality 4k to 8k video can get pricey fast.

Something I have noticed after a year my twitch chat used to be more active but most of them moved over to YouTube to talk over their to chat. Some being from YouTube rather stay on YouTube.
Shroud recently talked about how quiet chats are in 2026. I was curious, so I ran the numbers for my own channel, comparing every September from 2018 to 2026. From September 2026 to September 2018: ⏱️ Chats per Minute Watched are down 86%. 👀 Chats per Viewer are down 87%. ⌛ Chats per Hour Streamed are down 52%. So, at least for my channel, it's true. Viewers are significantly less chatty than they used to be. Possible reasons: 📉Falling Off. I have a stream where I talk about the streaming space; if the streaming is struggling (it is), there's less active interest in the topic. 👵 Age. People are older now, have more responsibilities, and don't have as much time to actively consume. 💥 Ads. The platform breaks the experience up far more than it ever did. 📱 Mobile Viewers. The platform is hyperfixated on fickle mobile viewers who watch for shorter durations. 💹 Rise of the Lurker. Other communities encourage it, so it becomes the expected experience across the platform. 🪙 Economy. People are struggling; it's better to put effort into a side hustle than a Twitch chat. 🤖 Viewbots. Bots don't typically chat. 💀 Culture Death. Twitch Culture has really disappeared since the pandemic. When was the last time we had a new sitewide copypasta?

I didn't see really anyone cover this perspective the psychological one; I will use my example of becoming a youtube partner I had intended to grind it out for a year seriously I hit it faster then anticipated I hit in less than 90 days. I had the feeling of "well now what?" trying to figure out what goal to try for next. it having to do with being fixated on a goal then reaching it not knowing where to place all that energy you have in a productive way leading to feelings of burn-out and depression.
Genuine question: why is it that every time someone does a partner push, hits the goal, and becomes a Twitch Partner, they get sad when the numbers go back to normal, or lower than before? I thought the goal was just to reach the checkmark, not to keep the bigger viewership. If the goal was bigger viewership, wouldn’t you do something different?

I could see the AI accidentally flagging things that are meant to be a snarky joke it affecting sponsor offers. If you haven't already time to look at being on different platforms.
CEO Dan Clancy says Twitch now uses AI to identify streamers that may not match a brand, since it now transcribes all streams for brand safety. It won't show ads on channels or content the AI believes don't match what the advertiser is trying to achieve.

I wonder if we will get as much push back earlier in the year when they tried this.
Tomorrow, Discord will place everyone into an age group using account signals. They claim 90% of users won't have to confirm their age. They are also introducing new verification methods if you do need to verify that you are an adult, including Credit Cards and App Stores.
