It was a pleasure to join @STA_National and a great set of panelists for another topical and lively discussion on the promise of tokenization for U.S. (and global) Capital markets. The opportunities ahead of us are astronomical, and as much as we’ve seen happen so far, we’re still just getting this party started.
"It's still early days but we're just scratching the surface on the use cases that will be enabled. Brett Redfearn, President at Securitize, on what lies ahead for tokenization this morning at our 93rd Annual STA Market Structure Conference. #STA2026DC

The @SECGov's Innovation Exemption provides an opportunity for innovation, a chance to try and evaluate a new type of market, a scoped attempt to allow tokenized equities to be transferred in a less regulated perimeter with substantial guardrails and caps in both volume and securities, a venue that should not risk disruption to price formation in traditional markets. It has xero chance of fully replacing central limit order books and exchanges, but some chance of offering something useful to another type of onchain investor. I look forward to this discussion.
What could the #SEC Innovation Exemption mean for tokenized markets? Brett Redfearn (@Observatory13), President of @Securitize, joins us on November 2 to explore that question at CTM’s 2026 Tokenized Fund Roundtable. See the agenda, speakers & register: coalitionfortokenizedmarkets…

Watching “Tokenization” panel at STA National and, with a full house @Observatory13 rattles off the incredible rate of advancement of the technology. All the other panelists reinforce that point. The interest and innovation is real and INEVITABLE. The result will be a much more efficient and open financial system

It’s been a long day, a great day, and another big step forward towards realizing the possibilities for bringing traditional financial markets onchain. @jserna explains what we just launched very well in this thread. @carlosdomingo has been driving hard towards this vision now for over 8 years. And the amazing, super hard working team at @Securitize will keep taking this product to higher levels, as the promise for tokenization is still only beginning to be widely understood.
1/ Tokenizing a stock is easy. Tokenizing it properly is hard. We already started with our own stock, $SECZ, bringing it onchain. Today @Securitize is launching Securitize Stocks, bringing public U.S. equities onchain through a model we've been working on for a long time. And the interesting part isn't the list of tickers. It's the architecture. 🧵 xitter.cf/Securitize/status/2108…

TODAY: @Securitize launched Securitize Stocks on @Solana, bringing 1:1-backed entitlements to Apple, Amazon, Tesla and nine other U.S. stocks onchain. Brett Redfearn (@Observatory13), President of Securitize, on what tokenized stocks could mean for investors outside the U.S.:

We will continue to build responsibly, to future-proof our offering of tokenized securities, and will be prepared for potential political changes, as this ecosystem continues to grow and flourish.
The Clarity Act failed to advance in the Senate after receiving just 49 YES votes. Two months ago, Brett Redfearn (@Observatory13), President of @Securitize and former SEC Director of Trading and Markets, told us why responsible building matters even more in a moment like this.

1/ Something else I will never forget (a belated September 11th thread ... and February 26, 1993) In 1993, I worked on the 54th floor of the World Trade Center when a Ryder van packed with explosives detonated in the garage beneath the North Tower. Six people died, over a thousand were hurt, and thousands of us evacuated for hours down crowded, smoke-filled stairwells with no idea what had happened. The bombers' goal was to topple the North Tower into the South Tower and bring down both. That time, they failed.

6/ I'm as pro-economic-freedom as anyone — but when I think back about being trapped 54 floors up in a stairwell full of smoke, or watching an iconic symbol of American capitalism crash down, I understand the need for certain guardrails. Blockchain and tokenization can and will still deliver numerous benefits: instant settlement, 24/7 markets, access to US stocks for investors worldwide who don't have it today, less intermediation, collateral mobility, and more. But we don't have to make it easier for terrorists and other illicit actors to transfer securities, wash money, and manipulate our financial markets to get there.

7/ Composability is one of blockchain's superpowers — and it isn't just for speed, efficiency and access. It can ensure lawful transfers, bake compliance into code, make AML and KYC part of the transfer itself — lawful by default, not by hope.

"Is this Al-Qaeda and Hamas who are voting my shares?" That's the question Brett Redfearn ( @Observatory13 ) says nobody can answer once a stock token goes to a non-KYC wallet. 🗳️🔐

"Once a share token sits in a non-KYC wallet, the connection between the beneficial owner and the corporate issuer effectively dissolves. The issuer doesn’t know who holds the share. The platform that created the token may not know either. And if nobody knows who holds it, nobody can answer who gets to exercise the governance rights attached to it." cryptobriefing.com/securitiz…

As the debate around @Robinhood's AMC tokenized stock heats up with @CEOAdam, @vladtenev, and @RobinhoodCrypto — and the broader conversation about how tokenization can benefit both issuers and investors keeps evolving — it was great to join @LauraShin this morning to talk about how Securitize is bringing the stock market onchain the right way. xitter.cf/i/broadcasts/1RKZzBXAg…
