Lesbian Muslims from Uganda sought safety to Israel after persecution for being LGBT.
Israel welcomed them with open arms.
"Back home they were hunting us. They wanted to kill us... even my family when they discovered that I'm a lesbian."
WOW. Israel truly is GOATed💙

On this day—October 3, 1944
The Grand Mufti of Jerusalem wrote to Heinrich Himmler and asked for an Arab-Muslim army to fight the Jews beside the Reich.
He had already know the Holocaust architect well. In his memoirs, the Mufti called Himmler his “close friend,” and described taking tea with the Reichsführer-SS. On one such occasion, Himmler signed a photo of the two of them together: “To his eminence the Grand Mufti, a memento.”
Germany was losing. The Red Army was already in Poland. Meanwhile, the Nazis kept the gas chambers running. The Mufti had been in Berlin since 1941, on the German payroll, broadcasting for the Nazis in Arabic, and pleading with European leaders to send Jewish children to Poland where they could be murdered rather than allowing them passage to British Mandate Palestine.
The Mufti had already helped recruit the 13th SS Mountain Division, Handschar. Now he wrote to Himmler asking for an Arab-Islamic army in Germany where volunteers would be merged with the units already in existence. All, of course, to be trained and armed by the Reich. He wrote that the effect in the Arab and Islamic countries would be “the most favorable.”
That same month, the SS dropped a five-man German-Arab commando into the Jordan Valley with weapons, explosives, and German-Arabic dictionaries. The British caught them. Under interrogation, they said the Mufti had briefed each of them, compared Islam with National Socialism, and told them the fight in Mandate Palestine would help Germany.
On November 2, the German Foreign Office issued a statement. Al-Husseini complained to Ribbentrop that it was not enough. They had cut the word “Muslim.” The Nazis were happy to use Muslim volunteers, but would not endorse the Mufti’s army.
He flew out of Germany on May 7, 1945, the day of the surrender. Yugoslavia listed him as a war criminal for the SS recruitment, but he was never tried. The Arab Higher Committee took him back as its leader just in time to work to continue the Holocaust by annihilating the Jews of Mandate Palestine who were getting ready to declare their state.
He lost there too.

In 1948, when Jordan occupied Judea and Samaria, it expelled or—in some cases, such as Kfar Etzion—brutally massacred entire Jewish communities. Some of the Jewish communities in Judea and Samaria subjected to ethnic cleansing by the Jordanians included the ancient Jewish community of Shechem (Nablus), Beit Ha'arava, Kalya, the four kibbutzim of the Etzion bloc, Ein Senia, the old Jewish quarter of Hebron, Atarot, Neve Ya'akov, the old Jewish quarter of Jerusalem's Old City, and Tel Or.
In short, following Jordan's brutal war against the nascent State of Israel, for the first time in over 3,000 years, not a single Jew remained in Judea and Samaria or in the Old City of Jerusalem.
After the war and during Jordan's illegal occupation, the region was—for the first time in world history—referred to as the "West Bank." Jordan refused to honor the terms of the Armistice Agreement signed with Israel, which required free Jewish access to holy sites, cultural institutions, and the ancient Jewish cemetery on the Mount of Olives. During the 19 years of Jordanian occupation, Jews were completely barred from entering the Old City of Jerusalem and denied access to the Kotel (the Western Wall)—which the Jordanians allowed to turn into a slum—and the Temple Mount, Judaism's holiest site. The Jordanians not only ethnically cleansed the entire ancient Jewish community—from the cradle of Jewish civilization in Judea and Samaria to the Old City of Jerusalem—but also ruthlessly destroyed all 58 synagogues. Furthermore, they completely destroyed the Jewish Quarter of Jerusalem's Old City. The Jordanians also built a hotel directly over a Jewish cemetery and demolished thousands of Jewish tombstones, using them as construction material‼️
During the 19 years of illegal occupation, Jordan also barred Christians from accessing their holy sites in Jerusalem. Additionally, Jordanian snipers frequently fired at Israelis from across the Armistice lines.
Jordan went further and illegally annexed the West Bank in April 1950.
Jordan's annexation was never recognized by the international community. In 1994, Jordan renounced all legal rights to any territory in the West Bank or Jerusalem when it signed the 1994 peace treaty with Israel.
Is it “Judea & Samaria” or the “West Bank?”
And were Jews living there before the 1948 War? If so, what happened to them?
The land called Judea & Samaria for the last 3 millennia contained many Jewish towns & villages before 1948 – some of which existed for millennia, others were built during the British Mandate.
But when the Jordanians conquered Judea & Samaria (over which they had no sovereign claim) in 1948, they either drove out, or in some cases (such as at Kfar Etzion) brutally massacred entire Jewish communities.
Some of those Jewish communities of Judea & Samaria the Jordanians ethnically cleansed in 1948 include: the ancient Jewish community in Shechem (Nablus), Beit Ha’arava, Kalya, the four kibbutzim of the Etzion Bloc, Ein Senya, the ancient Jewish Quarter in Hebron, Atarot, Neve Ya’akov, the ancient Jewish Quarter in the Old City of Jerusalem, and Tel Or.
Bottom line: after Jordan’s brutal war on the nascent State of Israel, for the first time in more than 3,000 years, there was not a single Jew left in Judea, Samaria, or the Old City of Jerusalem (note: similarly, the Egyptians ethnically cleansed the Gaza Strip of its Jews by killing or driving them out of Jewish towns such as Kfar Darom).
After the war & during Jordan’s illegal occupation of what the Jordanians (for the first time in world history) called the “West Bank,” Jordan refused to honor the portion of the armistice agreement signed with Israel that required them to provide free access for Jews to Holy Places, cultural institutions, and use of the ancient Jewish cemetery on the Mount of Olives.
In fact, during Jordan’s 19-year occupation, Jews were barred entirely from the Old City of Jerusalem & were denied access to the Kotel (Western Wall - which the Jordanians permitted to became a slum) and to the Temple Mount itself, the holiest place in Judaism.
Not only did the Jordanians ethnically cleanse the entire ancient Jewish community from the very cradle of Jewish civilization in Judea, Samaria, and the Old City of Jerusalem, but the Jordanians also callously destroyed all Jewish synagogues as well.
In addition to destroying the entire Jewish Quarter of the Old City of Jerusalem (photo below shows how the Jewish Quarter was left in ruins), the Jordanians razed to the ground every one of its 58 synagogues.
Then, to add insult to injury, the Jordanians went to the ancient Jewish Cemetery on the Mount of Olives (where Jews had buried their dead for more than 2,500 years), and ransacked it, desecrated the graves, and smashed thousands of Jewish tombstones to use as building material and even to use as latrines.
The Jordanians also built a hotel directly on top of a Jewish cemetery & demolished Jewish graves to make way for a highway to that hotel.
Meanwhile, during their 19-year illegal occupation, Jordan also refused access to Christians to their holy sites in Jerusalem.
Additionally, Jordanian snipers remained perched on the walls of the Old City and would frequently shoot at Israelis across the armistice lines.
Jordan did not merely illegally occupy the “West Bank” as an aggressor state, however.
Jordan went a step further and illegally annexed the West Bank in April of 1950.
Via a Resolution adopted on April 24, 1950, Jordan declared, “Parliament, which represents both sides of the Jordan, resolves this day and declares: First, its support for complete unity between the two sides of the Jordan and their union into one State, which is the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan at whose head reigns King Abdullah Ibn al Husain.”
Notice nothing was said in this Resolution about any “Palestinian Arab” people or any “Palestinian Arab” state.
In fact, at no time during Jordan’s 19-year rule over the “West Bank” did any Arab nation make any effort to set up a “Palestinian Arab State.”
Neither did the Egyptians make any attempt to set up a Palestinian Arab State in the Gaza Strip during its own 19-year military occupation in that land.
Meanwhile, Jordan’s annexation was never recognized by the international community.
And, importantly, Jordan ultimately gave up the right to claim any legal rights or title to any land in the "West Bank" or Jerusalem when it signed the Peace Treaty with Israel in 1994.
