Content Monetization and The Hijack of Africa's Digital Space
The digital gold rush in Africa is a deliberate structural trap. By incentivizing sensationalism over substance, global platforms have effectively co-opted the creative energy of a generation, steering millions away from the urgent work of reclaiming sovereign narrative and towards a cycle of 'engagement' that hollows out our intellectual discourse.
The Spearhead’s @Big_Mck reports that real digital independence starts with the courage to choose quality over clicks; a challenge that demands a deliberate commitment from every viewer to amplify rather than just consume.

This morning, I called on the Chairman of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Dr. Eric Nyamekye to convey the appreciation of Government and the good people of Ghana for the outstanding Christ-like demonstration of compassion as demonstrated by the Church’s branches in South Africa.
The Pentecost Church in South Africa generously offered their churches as safe havens to accommodate some 500 Ghanaians who fled the latest wave of xenophobic attacks.
For about two months before being evacuated by the Government of Ghana, these 500 Ghanaians were safely sheltered in the Pentecost branches of Johannesburg, Pretoria West and Kempton Park. The church also provided food and clothing.
On behalf of His Excellency John Mahama, and the Foreign Ministry of Ghana, I conveyed our eternal gratitude to The Church of Pentecost.
I also commended the church for their inspiring consistency in providing humanitarian support to Ghanaians in distress abroad, particularly during the Russian-Ukraine conflict and during the covid pandemic.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Church of Pentecost have agreed to collaborate more closely in the pursuit of enhanced consular assistance for Ghanaians abroad considering that the Church of Pentecost has branches in 210 overseas territories.
God bless the Church of Pentecost.
Meanwhile, the Government of Ghana will continue with the ongoing evacuations of our nationals from South Africa. So far, more than 1600 Ghanaians have been brought back home safely.
For God and Country. 🇬🇭 🙏🏾

🚨 China is now allowing engineering students to invent a new product instead of writing a 100-page dissertation to earn a PhD. 👏

This is a monumental wake-up call for every single tech founder and executive in Ghana. The judge explicitly refused to remove Andrew Takyi-Appiah from the lawsuit because evidence showed a substantial amount of the client's corporate funds was deposited directly into the CEO's personal mobile money wallet. Once you co-mingle corporate funds with personal accounts, you strip away the protection of a "limited liability" company. The court pierces the corporate veil, and your personal home becomes fair game for seizure.
