How do you have 8 Ballon d'Ors, but when the world is asked to vote on the single most impressive, dominant, and undisputed individual win ever, they pick the guy who has 5? This is what you get when half of your awards are heavily disputed as charity handouts from FIFA.
Siuu.

A Century of Light: Greeting the Adabiya Family 🤍🤍🤍
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh.
One hundred years ago, a vision took root in Okekere, Ilorin. Sheikh Muhammad Kamalud-Deen Al-Adabiy established Az-Zumratul Adabiyyatul Kamaliyah not merely as a place to memorise texts, but as a school that joined knowledge with manners, Arabic scholarship with organised learning, and faith with practical service. What began modestly in 1926 has by Allah’s permission, become a living tradition that has shaped generations of students, teachers, and leaders across Nigeria and beyond.
Today, as Adabiya marks its centenary, I greet every student who has ever sat in its classrooms, every teacher who has patiently corrected and guided, every alumnus carrying the school’s name into different walks of life, and every associate of the Ansarul Islam family who has supported this noble work. You are the living proof of that original vision.
The benches and blackboards of yesterday, the lessons in adab and the Qur’an, and the spirit of disciplined learning have travelled with you into homes, mosques, classrooms, and communities. A hundred years later, the school’s real strength lies not only in its buildings or its history, but in the people it continues to produce.
I remember the late founder, along with all the teachers and students who have returned to their Lord, and I ask Allah to grant them the highest ranks in Jannatul Firdaus. I also look with hope toward those still studying and those yet to come. May this centenary be more than a moment of celebration; may it serve as a reminder to preserve what is best in the Adabiya tradition: beneficial knowledge, character that honours Islam, and service rendered with humility and sincerity.
My Prayer for You All
O Allah, bless the students of Adabiya with beneficial knowledge, sound character, sincere faith, and wisdom in service. Strengthen the teachers who continue this noble legacy, reward them abundantly, and grant them patience and excellence in their work.
O Allah, bless the alumni and associates of the Adabiya family. Unite their hearts, strengthen their bond, and make them worthy ambassadors of the knowledge and values they received.
O Allah, preserve Az-Zumratul Adabiyyatul Kamaliyah and the entire Ansarul Islam family. Protect its heritage, renew its strength, and allow it to continue guiding generations toward faith, learning, discipline, and service.
Forgive the founder, Sheikh Muhammad Kamalud-Deen Al-Adabiy, and all those who contributed to this institution and have returned to You. Illuminate their graves, elevate their ranks, and accept their efforts as lasting charity.
May the next century bring even greater excellence, unity, wisdom, and benefit to humanity.
Ameen Ameen
Happy Centenary to the entire Adabiya family. May the light of knowledge and character continue to shine for another hundred years and beyond.
