The UK OVSI team enjoyed its second visit to Ethiopia recently for a series of meetings that helped to better understand #Oxygen supply issues from hospitals and clinics, and to speak with in-country manufacturers.

@CPL_Engineering has been producing some test parts for the zeolite sieve beds, where the nitrogen is scrubbed from compressed air to generate high purity oxygen. This video shows one of the parts being turned on a turret lathe.

One of the challenges that our teams face is to reduce the amount of noise emitted by the #Oxygen Concentrator devices.

The rotary valve designed by our UK team will be manufactured this week @CPL_Engineering.
The robust valve will have a long lifespan to control the #oxygen concentrator in harsh environments.

We've developed a robust control valve for the O2 Concentrator. It's designed for harsh environments, and can be repaired using locally sourced components.
