It’s very likely that more people are going to die of Covid in the UK this year than will seek asylum. Apparently we’re only worried about one of these issues, and it’s the wrong one.

I am the only non white person in my cohort and it has felt a bit lonesome at times, but seeing BAME student accounts have made me feel a part of a bigger movement in the OT world #BAME #OTD

found out from my smear test that I have something I wouldn't of known otherwise which needs monitoring, can't tell you girls how important they are ❤️

As healthcare professionals, we often see, hear and experience things that your 'average Joe' doesn't.
Please speak up when you need support, help or just a bit of debrief. There's a world of people wanting to support you.

What do Occupational Therapists do?

Really enjoying #OTweek2020. Layla, our fabulous OT at HMYo Feltham says "Feltham is an intense but exciting place to work. I feel like OT across offender care is becoming more established by the day". Couldn't agree more, you guys are smashing it! @OTLayla

1/2 - OT friends, hope you are all doing well. I'm looking for OTs that work with CHILDREN,ADULTS & OLDER ADULTS who wouldn't mind making a short video talking about their role as an OT working with their particular population. These are for a new year 1 module. Interested? ☺

If you read anything today, would highly recommend this thread by @OTLayla.
We are in a position where we can make that change. We can show black (and other underprivileged or victimised) people that their lives matter just as much as mine or yours does. #BlackLivesMatter

Can anyone help? Working with dementia patients in these times is challenging. Our older ages inpatients don’t understand why the have to be isolated. We need radios, toiletries, TVs and activities to help us care for them in Leeds. Can anyone donate any items to us? Please RT👍

Saw a clever way to help stop skin damage behind the ears from wearing masks, so I thought I’d give it a go! (I also have a small head and the masks are very loose on me usually so it helps the fit a lot!). Just need to make sure the buns are high enough to avoid the ear!

PT and OT not essential? Shouldn’t be using PPE? Well there are patients on the wards not being mobilised or participating in occupations. If they stay in bed then we see respiratory decline and when they do get up drops in bp, fatigue, severe weakness.. worse outcomes...
