My letter to the new leader, & new Highways boss of @Essex_CC Essex voted for change, in @reformparty_uk. The schemes happening in #Colchester, need Pausing & reviewing. I should be grateful of a show of support if you do so, & believe this to be accurate. @TheGazette use it.

gazette-news.co.uk/comments/… very interesting statements here. Apart from the Reform one which just reads like a copy and paste national statement. Whatever your political choice, please vote....

@yourcolchester @Colchesterviews its election season & lots of posts of candidates picking up litter. This is of course incredibly admirable. However, it also highlights the massive failings of our council in that THEY cant keep our streets clean. Lack of funding they will cry,

but they can find council funds for Mercury, VAF etc. The priorities are all wrong & it is time hard choices are made for the majority, not a cosy minority.

I know things are messed up when I find myself agreeing with John McDonnell. How is our MP voting @ColchesterLab ?
Tory vote on referring Keir Starmer to the Privilege’s Committee is a political stunt but to blow it out of the water Keir Starmer should show confidence & refer himself, demonstrating there is nothing to hide. Whipping a vote against will produce smears we’re backing a cover up.

Well done to Lyndon Harrison in Newquay The Green Party moron has never been told no in her life has she? Let me guess… Miss Abigail is a pro-pally, vegan, trans-ally who took 28 boosters, adopted a pet Ukrainian & knits her own Birkenstocks.

@yourcolchester A challenge to all parties ahead of the local elections. The state of our roads in the city are terrible. Damaging cars & downright dangerous for those on 2 wheels. Its ECC I hear you cry but you all have representation at ECC & therefore a voice. What is YOUR

party going to do about it. Vanity schemes are all well & good but we are fed up of sub standard repairs, long delays & total incompetence surrounding the infrastructure that we, the taxpayer, pays for. Passing the buck will not cut it anymore. If you want my vote, earn it.

@ColchesterLab a door knocker from Labour. A lovely, dedicated lady. A polite No from me. Her phrase of dont punish us for the national stuff got me thinking. Unfortunately thats exactly what they need. To be told that the working man is fed up of being taxed to the hilt, only

Sanctuary on any literature before it happened. Whether it is local or national govt, the tide is turning & those being taken for granted are sick of it. Are Reform or the Greens the answer? Absolutely not, but the traditional parties need to start listening before its too late

🚨 Big trouble in the Green camp right here in Norfolk! A senior councillor and long-time Green, Michael de Whalley, the one who helped set up the West Norfolk branch back in 2009 and is actually their cabinet member for climate change & biodiversity, has just quit in disgust! He says he’s been “looking on in horror” at the party’s sharp lurch under new leader Zack Polanski towards populist left-wing policies. De Whalley slammed the shift away from proper science and evidence-based environmental work, towards dogma, ideology, hard-left economics, gender nonsense, and obsessing over foreign issues like Palestine… all while real concern for the countryside and climate gets pushed aside. He warned there are loads of “older, deeper Greens” who feel exactly the same. Well, surprise surprise… these populist left-wing policies are NEVER going to be popular in rural areas like Norfolk! Our farmers, our villages, our hardworking families out here don’t want urban woke lectures or economic fantasies that hammer the countryside. The Greens are about to find out the hard way that Norfolk isn’t London.

The Green Party. I have a friend who's a councillor for the Green Party. She's a wonderful hard working woman. She helped householders whose houses were flooded a couple of years ago, stayed up all night helping them pump their houses out and move furniture; helped volunteers clear the river of debris; got all new planters and bins for the village square; attends all village events; opposes all development applications on farmland and green belt; gives immediate attention to any problems people are having; got new road signage. I could go on and on. She'd actually make a great MP. She cares about her village, her people and the environment. Unfortunately, she's not standing for re-election because her party, she says, has been infiltrated by lunatics and anti-Semites. Isn't that sad. ☹️

Oh dear. Labour having to abandon plans to cancel elections across the country. Excellent news as it set such a dangerous precedent. Labour literally making the rules up to suit them and once again, blown up in their face.

facebook.com/share/p/1DwstGR… Did Pam Cox vote for this? If so, would love to hear her explanation as to why? @ColchesterLab
