Update on my mum’s treatment.
My mum has completed 3 out of the 4 chemotherapy sessions the doctors asked her to do for now, and we’re grateful she has been able to come this far despite everything.
But at this point, our funds are almost exhausted, and we are struggling to keep up with the cost of treatment, medications, dressing materials, tests, and hospital visits.

In May 2023, attorney Steven Schwartz submitted a court filing written with the help of ChatGPT in the Mata v. Avianca case in a US federal court.
In that filing, ChatGPT cited 6 court cases.
It used correct legal citation formats.
It included judges' decisions and quotes.
Everything looked trustworthy.
But the problem was that none of those cases existed. At all.
When the judge asked for copies of the cited decisions, the attorney went back to ChatGPT.
The AI confirmed the cases were real and even said they could be found in legal databases.
Of course, those cases couldn't be found.
The attorney was ordered to show cause and sanctions were imposed.
Key line from the court order:
The filing cited judicial decisions that do not exist.
This was the first documented case of this kind.
What makes it especially interesting is that the AI didn't just make up facts.
It packaged false information in a legally correct format.
So convincing that even a professional lawyer didn't notice anything wrong.
