This is also why a lot of people don’t write. They worry everything has already been said. Turns out yes, someone probably said it 500 years ago. But they didn’t say it through your particular experience, at this exact moment Sometimes we write to contribute to the collective discourse of the universe, and sometimes we write to make sense of our own lives. Both are good reasons to write

I remember seeing a tiktok saying thats a symptoms of mania sometimes, walking for hours w no real reason or purpose as to why. And i find that so odd and interesting , like what about being crazy spurs the mind to activate itself to just move/go

The non-clickbait version of this is that social proof matters, and a lot of people underestimate the extent to which they could more easily achieve their goals if they could show that a couple of trusted brands were willing to trust them
people need to status max so much more high status people saying "chasing status is bad" is such an effective way of keeping everyone below them literally the only reason why you care about a person you have not met is because they've done something publicly approved rant:

so anyway as a chronically suicidal person: « an ear to listen and comforting presence » is literally lifesaving lmao it’s the ppl always tryna fix shit and telling us to seek ~professional help~ that are the reason we keep shit to ourselves.
As a person who is chronically suicidal: Your friends are not therapists. They do not have the eduction or the tools to help you and most the time can only offer an ear to listen and a comforting presence.

This is free advice from an expensive psychologist. If you’re an anxious person, do everything for fun. Go to a job interview for fun. Submit documents for fun. Start a blog for fun. Anxiety feeds on importance. Don’t make everything a matter of life and death.

autistic people are sometimes described as unwilling to compromise or adapt, when adapting is often something we’ve been doing constantly. changing the way we speak, suppressing our reactions, hiding our discomfort, forcing ourselves through overwhelming situations and making ourselves smaller so other people feel comfortable. sometimes what looks like “refusing to adapt” is actually someone finally reaching the point where they don’t want to keep abandoning parts of themselves just to fit in.

people love neurodivergent people until they actually show any traits of actual disability sorry I literally don't understand things and I have a cognitive disorder and need more context as to why things are happening
I’m not sure if any other neurodivergent people are like this, but I’ve realized I need constant clarification of absolutely everything. People have gotten mad at me many times for asking “Why?” “When is this happening?” “When are we leaving?” “What are you doing today?”

It's crazy how autists have a passive -20% debuff in all social situations even when they haven't said a word
