Nobody?
Hmph.
βI have been away from α½Ξ»Ο
ΞΌΟΞΏΟ longer than I care to admit, but mistake not absence for idleness; there are monsters yet to slay, taverns yet to empty, and adventures awaiting a hero of my considerable talents.
Who among thee hath kept the world interesting since my departure?β
Thou findest glory in the clash.
I find glory in that which comes before it; wine that loosens thy tongue, songs that swell thy heart, the joy of a boast that demands an answer from another. For what is glory worth if there is no feast to remember it by?
Now thou speakest like a son of α½Ξ»Ο
ΞΌΟΞΏΟ! Let the realms be our tavern! Let no shore deny us its wine, no hall its feast, and let us welcome any champion foolish enough to challenge us leave without a tale to tell!
Thou hast stoked the hearts of men into bloodlust, brother. But I have broken their armies, wrestled their monsters, and carried their legends upon my back!
A grievous accusation! Wouldst thou have us drink as peasants, without ceremony or purpose? Let us celebrate glory! Conquest! But, above all else, that we may remain of sound mind long enough to make a nuisance of ourselves!
Then gather thy courage, αΌΟΞ·Ο. I have waited three thousand years for an excuse to make the heavens regret granting us an evening!
Lions have teeth. Hercules had wine. Neither, in truth, possessed the patience to withstand the other. By the time the sun had set, the amphora was empty and the beast lay asleep beneath an aged olive tree. Hercules had acquired three new scars, and he had absolutely no regrets.
Wine tastes better beneath an open sky!
Philosophers quarrel over virtue and mortals concern themselves with tomorrow.
But, tonight, there is music! Laughter! Wine enough to fill a kingβs cellar and stars enough to shame α½Ξ»Ο
ΞΌΟΞΏΟ itself.
Let tomorrow come. No. Dare it to.
