🚨Breaking news: The students who were arrested and allegedly harassed by security operatives have been released following the intervention of the Students' Union Government (SUG), Federal Polytechnic, Ede, under the leadership of its ever-sagacious president, Olalekan and by the grace of Almighty God. They are now safe and on their way home. Special appreciation goes to everyone who contributed, directly or indirectly, to securing their release.Your solidarity, support, and timely intervention are deeply appreciated. State-sponsored thuggery become a feature of the build-up to the 2027 elections, fueled by the political intolerance of the @officialABAT Tinubu-led @OfficialAPCNg regime. I strongly condemn the reported attack on @PeterObi’s convoy in Calabar. Political violence against anyone, regardless of party affiliation, must never be tolerated. But don’t expect much from the @policeng or security agencies because of their complicity in political intimidation and violence. Nigerians will not tolerate this reign of intimidation forever. The people will collectively rise in resistance against political violence, repression, and impunity soon. No regime can suppress the will of the people indefinitely! #RevolutionNow

Many of you chase verified blue-tick accounts for mutuals while unfollowing those who lose their badges. If your blue-tick mutuals lose theirs tomorrow, will you unfollow them too? Stop chasing validation; you're running from a battle nobody is fighting. Ire oo

🚨 WHAT IS HAPPENING IN EDE, OSUN STATE? Reports circulating on WhatsApp show operatives of the Nigeria Police Force's Cybercrime Unit conducting an operation at a student hostel in broad daylight, allegedly intimidating and harassing students. The incident raises serious questions about police respect for fundamental human rights and the rule of law. Was there a valid search warrant? Was the operation conducted in accordance with the law? Fighting cybercrime must never become an excuse for intimidating innocent citizens or violating their constitutional rights. Even suspected criminals are entitled to due process.

Efetobore Timilehin Tega-Taire, a 21-year-old final-year anthropology student at the University of Ibadan (UI), can no longer see with either eye, and his father is struggling to raise N15.92 million for surgeries that doctors say could restore his sight. Timilehin, who was preparing for his final examinations and sign-out ceremony in November, has had problems with his eyesight for about five years. However, his condition recently worsened, leading to further medical interventions at the University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan. Lucky Tega-Taire, his father who lives in Ijebu Ode, Ogun State, told FIJ that the family had been referred to Skipper Eye-Q Super Specialty Eye Hospitals in Victoria Island, Lagos, after UCH said it lacked the necessary equipment to treat him. According to Tega-Taire, the hospital has estimated the cost of surgery at N7.96 million per eye, leaving the family with a total bill of N15.92 million for both eyes. He said the family had raised only N1.5 million and was appealing to the public for help.

Why are we panicking about the plot to suspend the Constitution when it has been suspended since 2015 Buhari regime ask yourself when was the last time theDSS obeyed the laws of the land ?
Listen to this outrageous statement from @OfficialDSSNG DG TOSIN AJAYI'S Bingo, @UghegbeLemmy : “You and I know, and I think many Nigerians know, that the DSS has the capacity, if they are interested in doing anything untoward to Sowore. More than anything else, the DSS has been graceful.” Graceful? Since when did the capacity of a security agency to harm a citizen become evidence of its benevolence? #RevolutionNow

As much as I hate the stupid and reckless tackle that unfortunately led to the demise of Jesús de Miguel, it's unfair what some of you are doing to Jesús Owono. Taking advantage of this unfortunate incident to display your true racist behaviour and hurl derogatory words at him.

I honestly think lecturers should avoid discussing politics in class. Because most times, they end up imposing their opinion on students.
