Liz Dachko, who played the girl Ilya kisses in the club scene in Episode 4 of 'Heated Rivalry', talks about finding out Connor Storrie wasn’t Russian and filming her scene with him.
“After half a day with Storrie, Dachko was stunned to discover he was from Texas. Throughout the entire production, the actor maintained a Russian accent while on set and Dachko had assumed he was a native speaker. After learning Dachko speaks Russian fluently, Storrie asked whether he could practise his monologue from Episode 5. He performed it with flawless execution, she recalled.
[…] On set, as music flowed through the speakers (Dachko remembers Guess by Charli XCX and Billie Eilish, and then a Russian techno song, Doschitai by Locked Club, that Storrie specifically requested), Dachko and Storrie started moving to the music, trying to figure out what felt natural.
