In 2004 the average person could hold their focus on one screen for about two and a half minutes. Measured again in recent years, it was forty seven seconds. Your attention did not shrink on its own. It was mined. Somebody got very rich learning exactly how to keep you at forty seven. The average guy was never beaten by a smarter man. He was beaten by his own scattered attention, sold off forty seven seconds at a time. Get that back and you get the rest back with it. Nobody can hand it to you, and nobody can take it unless you let them.
