Police say eight Israeli suspects have been arrested on suspicion of participating in the weekend settler attacks on Palestinians, foreign diplomats, and a photojournalist in the West Bank.
The police arrest operation, dubbed "Olive Leaf," began at dawn in a joint effort with the Shin Bet security agency and with IDF escort.
"So far, eight suspects have been arrested and several vehicles have been seized," the police say, adding that IDF and Border Police forces are also "conducting enforcement operations" to dismantle illegal settler outposts, address violations of restraining orders issued by the army, and an "intrusion into a Palestinian home."

In Gaza, Palestinians held a strongman competition. It seems like people had a good time.
It looks like some of these guys are taking in enough calories to support muscle growth and fuel their bodies.
I wonder where they are getting it from.
The world has seen the images from Gaza. But what's the full story? After 7 trips inside Gaza, urban warfare expert John Spencer says the "genocide" accusation against Israel is built on a lie:
“I think it's one of the biggest lies ever propagated and spread around the world that we've seen in the last 75 years.”
Spencer, who has studied battles from Stalingrad to Mosul, says Hamas spent 20 years and billions of dollars turning Gaza into a fortress with more than 600 miles of tunnels beneath civilians, schools, hospitals, and neighborhoods.
His conclusion: Israel has implemented more measures to prevent civilian harm than any military in the history of war. #Israel #MiddleEast #Truth

Israel has higher projected economic growth than any other developed country in the world, according to an OECD report from this week.
The economic relationship between New York City and Israel is deeply important, bringing substantial investment into our city and generating strong returns for our pension funds.
Our funds invest around the world, including more than $285 million in Israel, primarily in equities. Israel remains one of the world’s most dynamic and innovative economies, and those holdings remain an important part of our portfolio. They also make clear that New York City’s pension funds are not engaging in BDS.
I expressed my deep appreciation for the Israel-NYC economic relationship during my campaign for comptroller, and that appreciation remains unchanged. I also pledged to make every investment decision free of politics, based solely on its financial merits and my fiduciary responsibility to 750,000 current and future retirees.
We apply those same principles to Israel Bonds. At present, a number of challenges, including constraints related to a rules change on our short-term investment desk made by the previous comptroller, prevent us from making direct purchases. We continue to evaluate this investment, as we do all potential investments.
Anyone suggesting that this means I am giving up on Israel is trying to turn the ordinary rebalancing and management of a pension portfolio into a political issue. That is simply not the case. Our commitment to investing in Israel remains clear in the hundreds of millions of dollars in Israeli equities that our pension funds continue to hold.
Like many Jewish New Yorkers, my deep personal connection to Israel is a part of who I am. It will not change. As New York City comptroller, I also have a solemn duty to safeguard our city’s pension funds, and I will not shirk that responsibility. I will continue to honor both commitments with integrity.

CNN: U.S. military plans include potentially using the “mother of all bombs” against Iranian energy and nuclear sites. Officials doubt it can destroy deeply buried facilities. No decision reported; Trump would need to authorize a strike.

A few weeks ago, someone pretending to be me reached out to one of Israel’s leading defense companies, claiming to be working on a sequel to my book “The Weapon Wizards”. The impersonator requested an interview with the company’s CEO, supposedly for the new book.
Fortunately, the company’s spokesperson, whom I know personally, became suspicious. The phone number was unfamiliar, the email address was different, and something didn’t seem right. She reached out directly, and that’s how the impersonation was exposed.
Then yesterday came another discovery.
Since July, a YouTube channel called “Katz the Analyst” (good name, I have to admit) has been publishing videos featuring what appears to be me speaking from my home office. Except the videos are deepfakes, using real footage of me in my home office but replacing the voice and inserting entirely different content.
The reach is negligible, but the messaging is intentional: Iran is portrayed as the smart, patient player in the Middle East; Israel is presented as a liability to the United States; Russia and China are depicted as the beneficiaries of the regional standoff. There are also conspiracy theories woven throughout.
All of this has been reported to the relevant authorities in Israel, as well as to YouTube.
But here is the bigger issue, and why this should concern everyone, especially with the Israeli elections just around the corner.
We are already seeing AI-generated videos being used in election campaigns. Some are clearly labeled as AI-generated, while others are designed to deceive. The technology has reached a point where almost anyone can be made to say almost anything, with a level of realism that would have been unimaginable just a few years ago.
Think about what this means in the final days before an election. A fabricated video of a candidate making an outrageous statement, a military official supposedly revealing classified information, or a journalist appearing to report a story that never happened could spread to hundreds of thousands of people before anyone has a chance to verify its authenticity.
And even if the video is eventually exposed as fake, the damage might already have been done.
There is also a second danger. As deepfakes become more common, genuine videos and authentic statements can increasingly be dismissed as fabrications. In other words, the technology doesn’t just make it easier to spread lies. It also makes it harder to establish the truth.
I have no idea who is behind these impersonations or whether the incidents are connected. The limited reach of the YouTube channel suggests that, for now, the impact is minimal. But the implications are much bigger and should worry us all.
Navi Pillay on her UN inquiry targeting Israel: “We essentially worked like a court” — with “all the instruments of the separation of powers.”

BREAKING: Remember the UN report that bizarrely accused Israel of genocide?
The UN commissioner who signed it debates @BrianCox_RLTW to defend the report, and he couldn't even explain the "genocidal acts" that he alleged.
Chris Sidoti signed the UN commission’s report accusing Israel of genocide. One of its genocidal acts: the destruction of Gaza’s largest IVF clinic.
His commission told the UN General Assembly the clinic was hit by “air strikes.” Six months later, it told the Human Rights Council it was “most probably a shell fired from an ISF tank.” Neither report mentions the change. They don't even know what happened, and they're using it as evidence.
0:32 “I’ve not looked at this now for two years”
0:54 “It was a tank shell”
1:07 “I’m stumbling, and I know that I shouldn’t be stumbling”
2:51 Asked about the airstrike version: “I have no recollection”
The commission’s own witness testified there was “no evidence of an airstrike,” and that 2,000 specimens were lost before the attack, when the clinic ran short of liquid nitrogen. The next day, the commission called it genocide, with genocidal intent “the only inference that could reasonably be drawn.”

Navi Pillay, new Nobel laureate, authored a fraudulent report accusing Israel of "genocide" in Gaza. Its very first line contains a brazen falsehood: Israel launched its military offensive including airstrikes and ground operations on 10/7. Hamas is first mentioned on PAGE 8!!
Replying to @Aizenberg55
10/7 is erased. Entire incident is presented as an Israeli attack, the reader won't know what happened. Hamas is erased too. They do not exist in the report. They are only even mentioned first 8 pages deep, and only and always in the context of Israeli claims & statements. 2/
