Spider-Man: Into the Spiderverse and Regular Show #StandWithAnimation

@DenizCamp writing one of my favourite renditions of Spider-Man alongside Ultimates

Finally got to see Trap, enjoyed it but had its problems in the second half. Review here:

I'm just after reading the highly anticipated issue 4 of the #Ultimates and oh my god @DenizCamp you made me tear up. This was heartbreaking. Excellent idea of the 4 timelines to bring us up to speed but I hope this evil bastard gets a satisfying comeuppance. I want to hug Reed.

That being said, the end of the issue with the formation of the 6 was some cool worldbuilding and I'm very excited to see what they'll with them next issue. It's an interesting roster (and they all have 10/10 designs). Hope this is a major turning point in the comic.

I'll continue supporting this comic and the rest of the Ultimate line (and I hope other Spidey fans continue to as well) but I'm reallyhoping the pacing improves and we get a bit more family dynamics. 7/10

We're seeing some payoff with plotlines and hopefully this comic reads a bit better as a collection. But as a monthly release it's very slow. I hope we get a bit more interpersonal drama & even some friendly neighbourhood heroics too, be nice to see Pete save an average joe.

I'd hate to sound ungrateful because there's many things this comic does right & is the antithesis of modern 616 Spider-Man. But I just get a little frustrated with how slow this comic is moving compared to the Ultimates which I think is knocking it out of the park in 3 issues.

I love Hickman as a writer, he's produced some amazing stuff in the past. I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt that this is a slow burner. But there's certain elements that I find could be improved upon, mainly the family haven't felt like major characters, especially MJ.

I really enjoy Ultimate Spider-Man & I've looked forward to a fresh take on the character with a wife & kids. Gorgeous art & I think the character work is great. HOWEVER. I'm starting to get a little irritated with the pacing. This is becoming a bit of a drag with good moments-

Boy am I glad he's frozen in there and we're out here.

Really really enjoyed #AlienRomulus    Fantastic new entry into the franchise, solid performances, excellent set pieces and it's really well shot. Beautiful looking film, can't wait to rewatch. HOWEVER,please Hollywood, stop with the creepy cgi dead actors, it doesn't work!
