Whilst coverage is focused on Johnson victory results in NI are, by contrast, far more positive Some brilliant new MPs mean NI is represented more fairly today than yesterday It’s been an honour doing even a little bit to support them & here’s our round-up of key events (1/9)

All the love for these absolute legends!! Congratulations to them, and to the other MP's who arrived in Westminster today to give a voice to those who have felt voiceless for three long years 💗

Huge fáilte roimh to Claire & Colum today Not mentioned yet is what their historic victories mean for the millions of Irish in Britain who care deeply about the relationships between our islands After years of silence, they’ve already inspired hope for the Irish diaspora! ☘️🌹

Been doing media from around the world on #GE2019 in NI inc this w/ @CBCTheNational NI results are historic & whilst Tory majority might secure Brexit, we need to do all we can to stop worst impacts Parties have mandate to work together on that & we must hold them to account

Sorry to NI MPs & their staff who lost y’day. We take no pleasure in ppl losing jobs We’d like to thank them for having engaged with us over the past 2yrs - open dialogue essential in NI But we hope a period of reflection follows & for all MPs to represent us more fairly (8/9)

As we prepare for a (deserved) Xmas break, we want to say a HUGE thanks to everyone who has supported this effort in recent months from OFOC & parties It’s been a positive, inclusive, campaign. All of us - together - can be proud of that & more hopeful for the future in NI (9/9)

Congratulations @johnfinucane for victory in North Belfast! Been proud to support you! We woke up in 2017 with 10 toxic DUP MPs who misrepresented people here Results from across Northern Ireland coming through indicating that won’t be the same tonight! #GE2019
