The new resident evil is not a good video game adaption, it's not even a good horror movie. An insufferable main character who screams his way through the whole movie. Every scene that could have weight or would have been awesome like the rain of zombies from the roof (scene in the trailer) undercut by this guys annoying screams. The movie doesn't want to be taken seriously and every time it could have characters are just stupid for the sake of comedic relief. I give it props for the body horror which is really cool. I wanted to give it a 5 but the more I sit with it, the more I realise this is a 4/10 movie that should have been an easy homerun.
Regardless of what you think about GTA's price. The more we move towards digital only with ever increasing prices. The more people will find piracy avenues. The more people in piracy the easier it becomes. You can only bite the hand that feeds you so many times.
A bit late to the party but I saw Colony today and it's not too bad. If you haven't seen it already it might be worth checking out. Has some original ideas that are pretty cool but constantly trips over cliche zombie tropes. It's not shit and definitely better than Supergirl, but I'd have to say obsession is still the better movie this month.
Colony - 6/10
Somehow they have made Supergirl even weaker than Gunns Superman. A female power fantasy where the bad guys want to breed women to make a male only species.. Plot as follows. no sun no powers > poisoned weak powers > wrong sun dying > poisoned weak again > right sun win... 4/10
Just finished replaying LOTR Som, man this game is a lot of fun and even though the story isn't anything special. The fact the Devs created the nemesis system that fits perfectly into the lord of the rings universe without feeling like a forced mechanic is pretty incredible.
Compulsion will probably shut its doors. there have been people upset about studio closures in general but here is the truth. If you want your studio to do well and you want to stay employed. make a good game and do it for as little money as possible. 5/10 R.I.P

That summer games just smoked the state of play... it's almost like if you make games with a target audience people will be interested.
I can't wait for GTA 6 to release, not because I'm excited for the game. I just wanna stop seeing we got x before GTA6 posts...
