Invariably, progress is the product of the confidence and consistency with which we seek answers to questions about current circumstances.... if there is one trait we should never lose, it is our childhood freedom to question everything ....including both religion and science.
Two lessons from FIFA's recent fund raising saga-
1. When something has mass following, even attempts to improve it must guage the emotions of the masses.
2. The unexpected happens...even persons presumed to be neoliberals can oppose a neoliberal approach to fund raising. Yep
May we learn to be content but may our contentment not lead to complacency nor kill our ambitions..... for contentment is not meant to let us rest on our laurels and oars.....it is rather a recognition that what we have at the moment is adequate to spur us on to achieve more. Yea
The more we focus on how others created our plight, the more we overlook how we might have contributed to it .... almost invariably we are part of the problem ....and the gravity of evil from outside, is only as intense as the gravitational pull in our midst makes it. Yep !!!
After helping victims of abuse to regain the obvious losses suffered, may we also guide them to overcome the inner self...at times the tragedy occurs in the post-abuse phase ...from the burden of bitterness inside the abused himself which stalls every attempt at forward movement.
Initially it's quite difficult, then less difficult, then easy....soon it gets done effortlessly so we begin to take it for granted and get complacent..... soon those who equally found it difficult overtake us .....and we finally become followers where we used to be leaders. Yep!
Is the 250th mark true or a myth?... Will the world's biggest economy and greatest military power plateau at this peak, rise even further or begin the much predicted long descent like empires of yore ?.....

There are world wide examples of citizens asking foreigners to leave because foreigners "took their jobs".... what will happen if AI actually takes over our jobs....are citizens going to chase authorities and foreign owners of AI or they will chase AI out of town? Just wondering.
Two (2) questions come to mind....
1. Was Ghana sovereign flood risk insurance for a time like this?
2. Is any official in any district assembly going to be fired for allowing development in the flood zones or they will continue working as if nothing happened?
One of the key headaches of every leader will always be- "how can we make things better"....but in our haste to overcome challenges, may we anticipate problems the solutions might create.... it helps to better manage adverse impacts and better leverage the current benefits. Yea!
It may not be for lack of might ...often, it is also because we approach the fight without applying the mind...so when obstacles appear, however slight, our strategy is never right- we become full of fright and take to flight....only to return to same point to lament our plight.
If our only greatness is that of the past, it means the vision of our forefathers was not achieved... because today was their future dream yesterday... and if we do not work on a greater vision now, our children may be confronted with much bigger problems than what we face today.
Are you criticising him/her because you didn't attain your desire to be in that same position- you are an illustration of jealousy in motion....are you defending the same thing you would have criticised if someone else had done it- you are a living testimony of hypocrisy ....Yep!
It will wipe out many routine and intelligent tasks .... but human interactions are also driven by intangibles such as fear, trust, love, charisma etc....in the long run AI may create a Jevons Paradox .....where we end up having more of what we were expected to have less. Likely.
Half the time, half have no idea what is expected of them- they just enjoy occupying the position...half of the other half know what is expected but do not have what it takes to deliver...the last quarter have all it takes but are frustrated by both the system and the first half.
If those who lead a cause fail to police its principles, the cause gets taken over by those who initially opposed it or joined it for personal reasons only..... eventually, the course of the cause is diverted..... and what was meant to be the solution becomes a massive problem.
If they have enthusiasm without experience, give them responsibility but monitor... the zeal to succeed often creates the problems that lead to failure; ...if they claim to be experts, check if their expertise has yet made anyone succeed....for by their fruits ye shall know them.
