This project required the complete re-modelling of a city centre cluster of old shops, into contemporary apartments. The main challenge was getting as much light as possible into spaces and rooms that were challenging to rationalise. See more on Instagram

A challenging floor plan does not mean additional space is needed. We were approached to extend and rationalise this existing villa style home in Dublin, but the result needed no new additional floor area at all - see more on our instagram page

It was designed in the International Style by a team of architects, led by Desmond FitzGerald. Opened in 1940 during The Emergency/WW2, arguably the building didn't receive the recognition it deserved. But FitzGerald did win the @RIAIOnline Triennial Gold Medal for the design.
