Our team was honored to join Clerk-Recorder Hugh Nguyen, @ocrecorder, and the children of Hands Together for this year’s annual Halloween trick-or-treat at the County Administration South building.

Our team had a blast seeing the little ones in their costumes walk through the offices collecting candy. Events like this remind us that public service is about more than numbers — it’s about showing up for our community and the families we serve.
🎃👻 Have a safe and happy Halloween weekend, Orange County!
Whether you're trick-or-treating, heading to a local event, or enjoying your neighborhood, let's make safety part of the celebration!
🚶 Pedestrians: Use crosswalks, stay on sidewalks, and stay alert.
🚗 Drivers: Slow down, watch for little ghouls and goblins, and be extra cautious in residential neighborhoods.
🔦 Be visible: Carry a flashlight or use reflective gear after dark.
📵 Stay focused: Put distractions away and keep your eyes on the road.
Let's work together to keep our streets safe, welcoming, and accessible for everyone this Halloween weekend. 🧡
From all of us at the Orange County Auditor-Controller's Office, have a spooktacular Halloween!

Get the Inside Scoop! 🍦
People often mix up the Auditor-Controller, Assessor, Treasurer-Tax Collector, and Clerk-Recorder, but they all do very different jobs. We stopped by the family-owned B.Candy in Corona Del Mar (@bcandy_oc) to break it down over some delicious ice cream.
Different roles. Same goal: keeping Orange County government running.
Now you’ve got the Inside Scoop.

🗳️ We don’t run elections... The Registrar of Voters does. ✔But, the Auditor-Controller’s Office supports them behind the scenes with payroll for thousands of seasonal election workers, vendor payments, financial reporting, internal controls, and budget tracking, 1/2
so every taxpayer dollar is safeguarded. Watch how it works.
Different offices. One job: an election Orange County can trust
