“How can we talk against a government we have collected money from? Pastors have collected lands, allocations, even contract from government. Pastors collect dirty money from government so they can no longer speak against bad governance” -Pst Phillip

The biggest challenge in Nigeria today is that you wake up every day poorer, even with more money in your bank account, without having committed any crime.
It is no longer just about hard work. The entire system must function for ordinary people to survive. Purchasing power has been severely eroded.
There was a time when a barber could work hard, save consistently, and afford a car within two years. Today, that same dream has become almost impossible.
When the political and economic systems fail, everyone suffers.
You can do everything right as an individual and still become poorer because the system around you is failing.
Your personal prosperity means very little if the economy surrounding you is collapsing.
Interestingly, robust #ECONOMY and other influencing factors like #security #health #education and rule of #law has always being my main focus in every #Election cycle.
Unfortunately, many Nigerians focus on ethno-religious identities (things that cannot improve their QoL.
Watching this clip gave me a hundred and one feelings all at once. A billionaire is telling you that the current government's policies and "reforms" are tailored to make the rich richer and the poor poorer, but some ordinary Nigerians who belong among the poor don't mind selling their souls to help push these devilish reforms.
Atedo Peterside is a billionaire and you can hear him imply that the "reforms" favour him, yet he's here telling you that they are not the right reforms for a country like Nigeria and where we are at the moment.
That said, let me say the things I believe he didn't want to say out of the need to maintain decorum. In plain words, the reforms are tailored to favour the corrupt. Billionaires like him who built clean wealth from the grouns up just happen to benefit from the reforms because they're vested in the same financial spaces the corrupt ones steal all our commonwealth to get into and colonise and there's no way to stop them from benefitting from the so-called "reforms."
A good illustration is a known corrupt ex-militant trying to execute a majority takeover of a Nigerian bank. We don't understand how dangerous these things are, when people like that suddenly have enough wealth to attempt to take over our financial institutions. This is the legacy that the government of the day wants to entrench, and brethren, this is why we must fight, and fight like our lives depend on it.
Nigeria may currently be plagued by elites and billionaires who are either just as corrupt as the government or depend on government patronage for survival and so can not speak the truth to power. This is why I always say a silent prayer of gratitude whenever I listen to Atedo Peterside speak

Russia-Africa Summit Vs France-Africa Summit: Compare And Contrast
Delegations from 48 of Africa's 55 countries were present in Moscow at the recent Russia-Africa Summit where multiple infrastructure, energy, defence and economic cooperation deals were signed to further dependent Africa's relationship with the world's foremost nuclear power and 8th largest economy.
In this analysis, senior reporter Mckay Chukwu highlights and compares the stark difference in purpose, engagement, and meaningful results recorded at this summit in contrast with those recorded at France's so-called "Africa Forward" summit in Nairobi, Kenya in May 2026.

One of the greatest injustices in Nigeria’s education system is that we subject children to the same national examinations despite giving them completely unequal opportunities to learn.
A child in a poorly funded public school with no Mathematics or Physics teacher for an entire academic session will sit for the same WAEC examination as a child in a well-equipped private school with qualified teachers, modern laboratories, libraries and access to technology.
Both children will be judged by the same examination standards.
One scores an A, the other scores an F.
We celebrate one as brilliant and condemn the other as a failure.
But did we actually test their intelligence, or did we simply measure the inequality of their opportunities?
The tragedy is that the child who failed might be just as intelligent, or even more gifted, than the child who passed.
Equal examinations without equal learning opportunities are not necessarily a fair measure of a child’s potential.
We cannot continue to hold children accountable for the failures of an education system they did not create.
Every Nigerian child deserves a fair opportunity to learn before being judged on what they know.
A child’s examination result should reflect their learning, not the circumstances of their birth.

BREAKING: Nigeria: A Christian mother, Liatu Samuel Dawa, has been sentenced to 14 years in prison for the “crime” of evangelism.
Liatu shared her faith with a woman in Borno State who later converted to Christianity.
For that, Liatu is now behind bars and her family in hiding after Muslims threatened their lives.
The judge, A.B. Kumdila, imposed the harsh sentence.
This ruling is a gross miscarriage of justice.
The disgraceful action must be overturned and Liatu immediately returned safely to her family.
Free Liatu Dawa.
