Mikel Arteta on getting over the Champions League final defeat: "I've tried, but I haven't managed. That's the reality. So I tried for many weeks during the summer, even today, and when I see the ball, when I see the music, when I see the scenes, yeah, I want it so badly. We know that we have to go step by step, but I think that fire is within the team and all of us individually because we know what we had to go through by a penalty not being Champions of Europe. So yeah, let's try again."

I’ve supported Arsenal for over 30 years. I’m a season ticket holder and we’re successful. Yet I’ve never felt more disconnected from the club. I’ve written about why, and what I miss about the game I fell in love with. taproomnetwork.com/2026/10/1…

This brother has spent over half his life raising the standards of Arsenal football club. What a geezer
"We cannot be in this position." 15 years ago today, Mikel Arteta was critical of Arsenal's poor start to the 2011/12 season that had left the Gunners in 15th place after 7 games.

I think you can be self aware enough to realise that feeling frustrated after winning 1-0 away at Forest, making it 10 wins in 11 games, is somewhat irrational But football is driven by emotions, and we are a tough watch right now. I’d rather be winning like this than losing in an entertaining way But it doesn’t mean I can’t also hope to both win and be entertained

I wasn’t keen on the Konsa signing and didn’t think Arsenal needed him. I’m glad I was totally wrong. He’s been an incredible addition.

Forest have the second lowest XA this season after Arsenal. It was always going to be an absolute slog. But it feels better when you understand it in advance

Arsenal’s redundancy programme is getting more press coverage than City’s financial doping. We knew it was happening all along yet zero reporting of it. All of a sudden, an operational review, is a huge story.
