This woman here is Oluyemi Titilayo Adeyemi-Showunmi. She is the wife of Segun Showunmi @SegunShowunmi She was newly appointed by Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the Director of Electoral Operations at the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). You can now know the reason why Segun Showunmi is all out attacking and threatening Nigerians with treason for demanding electoral fairness and credible elections in 2027. Truly, Segun Showunmi has collected rice. What other evidence do you need? PURE CONFLICT OF INTEREST Nigerians must defend their votes by all necessary means necessarily and at whatever cost. I challenge Segun Showunmi to deny this.

In the National Interest, Nigeria needs Peter Obi to be her next president. He checks off on several affirmative credentials on the national leadership bucket list, over his competitors. BAT is running on his governance record; and after nearly four years, that record is simply dismal. A repeat will be disastrous. AA wants to be president, but is disinclined to respect zoning and equity. If he can't do it as a candidate, how can he do it as president. We have learned sad lessons from BAT on deploying preferential policies and political appointments based strictly on enthnicity. PO is a known quantity. His governance record speaks for him. He represents a process that will yet again make Nigeria whole. His acceptability amongst Nigerian youths, disenfranchised Nigerians and those who sincerely yearn fo change is refreshingly glaring. He has gone to every nook and corner of Nigeria - to prove his commitment, courage and accessibility. His message resonates. Of the three candidates, @PeterObi has my vote and that of a majority of Nigerians. Let's make it happen! #TEAMOHO

Atiku is seeking to open the crime files of Tinubu in the US. EFCC opened the 2006 corruption file of Atiku. Old crooks are fighting each other. I'm just observing. Observation is not a crime.

If you think about Nigeria long enough, consistently - you'll become a walking ball of hatred. For Ademola Adeleke to clench his governorship seat, APC killed/wounded 38 people. THIRTY EIGHT. He and his nephew were crying daily. Since he won, Osun state has been in unrest. People have been dying - to put it specifically, cultists have been "counting scores". The weapons they (both camps) armed their foot soldiers with, just for the purpose of elections still runs wild on the streets. Those ones have been targetting each other. One of Adeleke's core foot soldier was also murdered. The same APC, he is dancing a show of shame back to lick his vomit. A very dishonorable family. Again, If you think about Nigeria long enough, consistently - you'll become a walking ball of hatred. There's someone new to hate, an existing pattern to be disgusted by.

Tinubu is NOT Jonathan, he is incapable of presiding over an election he will lose, and he has neither a pathway to victory, nor the narrative to explain the outcome he desires. If it were not so tragic, it’d be comedic; feudalism has birthed a monster..🇳🇬🤔

A litre of fuel in Libya costs ₦32, while the minimum wage in the country is $208, which is roughly ₦276,000. In Saudi Arabia, a litre of fuel costs approximately ₦823, while the estimated monthly minimum wage is ₦1.4 million. Norway, another oil-producing country, provides its citizens with numerous benefits funded by the proceeds from its oil revenues. In Nigeria, however, the minimum wage is ₦70,000, while a litre of fuel costs between ₦1,300 and ₦1,900 in some places. That minimum wage amounts to a mere $52, a young chap flipping burgers at McDonald's in the US makes more than a Nigerian bank manager. Anyone earning ₦100,000 a month in Nigeria is still struggling to make ends meet and may be closer to the poverty line than their counterparts in these countries. But does the President care? How does he even sleep at night, knowing that millions of Nigerians are struggling to survive in a country blessed with abundant natural resources?

For a long time, he's been the lonely voice in the jungle crying out. This is the unrepentant stance every influencer and celebrity should take. Posterity will be kind to Tunde Ednut.

Scaring Investors While Celebrating Macroeconomic Stability! As the APC-led government continue in their delusional celebration of Nigeria's macroeconomic stability, the warning from the United States Government to prospective investors on inherent risks in Nigeria, further affirms the general and correct assessment that President Bola Tinubu-led government is incompetent, ineffective and corrupt. In the 2026 Nigeria Investment Climate Statement, the U.S. Department of State clearly flagged corruption, insecurity, inconsistent regulatory enforcement and weaknesses in the judicial system, cargo delays and power sector challenges as key factors undermining investor confidence in Nigeria. The report went further to caution investors of the possible use of arbitrary detention, travel restriction and immigration enforcement to coerce foreign businesses in Nigeria. As the report unambiguosly stated: “U.S. businesses are advised that standard business trips can escalate into detention if the firm is under regulatory suspicion or faces charges by Nigerian authorities. Nigeria has previously employed coercive exit bans and arbitrary detention as leverage in commercial or regulatory disputes, and to extract data or financial concessions from multinational firms. Port inefficiency remains a significant “hidden tax” on investment. While the Lekki Deep Seaport, which opened in 2023, significantly eased pressure in 2025 — handling $9.6 billion in trade and operating at 50 percent capacity — traditional ports in Apapa and Tin Can still suffer from cargo dwell times exceeding 20 days due to manual examinations.” In a nation with an effective, competent and attentive government, this kind of adverse report would have elicited immediate intervention by the President and Commander in Chief ordering prompt investigation, follow-up and effective action to ensure that our most endowed Nigeria is not perceived negatively by one of our key trading partners, friendly nations and expectedly the global economy. This is even more important given our desperation for Foreign Direct Investment. Unfortunately, our incompetent APC- led government cannot give what they don’t have as they are the real perpetrators of the issues raised by the U.S. Government. This explains why Nigeria is unable to attract Foreign Direct Investment commensurate with our market size and potential. Of the $10.37 billion in total capital importation in the first quarter of 2026, only $135.08 million (about 1.3% of the total inflows) was Foreign Direct Investment (FDI), while about $9.86 billion (about 95.1% of the total inflows) went into Foreign Portfolio Investment (FPI) with loans and other capital streams accounting for the remaining.

Fela called it Dem-all-crazy long before democracy fully embraced crazy as it seems to have in extant Nigerian experience. Across the country Governors are using Signage laws to make opposition billboards either too expensive or impossible to erect. But they are criminally using states funds and free access to public buildings for their own campaigns. The legal and illegal agents of those in power have visited violence repeatedly on opposition that try to rally. Lives have been lost in these intimidation efforts but a conspiracy of silence rules. Osun should teach that a determined people can stand up for their rights and win. Candidates have been forcibly prevented from entering some states and in others ruling party chieftains have publicly declared they will shoot leading opposition presidential candidates if they visited their states. You wonder how crimes against humanity are perpetrated? Fascists were ignored in their ascendancy mushroom into mass murderers. If this be early warning for crimes of genocide then prosecuting such signalers in ICCs should be an imperative of now.

A group of Business leaders gathered at Oriental Hotel in VI in Lagos last week openly lamented the state of Ozumba Mbadiwe the road leading to the hotel. Today I asked one of them how come so many powerful people could be so loudly critical and none could make a Public statement to those they pay taxes to and have a right to hold accountable. The answer I got reaffirmed my view that the development failure in Nigeria flows from a crisis of elite.

One of Nigeria’s greatest tragedies is not just that millions live in poverty, but that many have been conditioned to defend the very system that keeps them poor.
