I’ve never written anything that resonated with so many people as Bob’s story. Reading through the responses, I see countless Americans who feel forgotten, betrayed, and abandoned. If you’re one of them, I want you to remember something: God has not abandoned you. God never promised us a life free from suffering. He promised to walk beside us through it. He promised that He would never leave us nor forsake us, and that He works all things together for the good of those who love Him. And He fulfilled His greatest promise when Jesus Christ died on the Cross for our sins, rose again on the third day, and opened the gates of eternal life to all who repent and believe in Him. Governments will fail you. Politicians will betray you. The world will turn its back on you. But Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Take heart. Our hope is not in this broken world, but in the One who has already overcome it. “If God is for us, who can be against us?” Romans 8:31 All glory and praise to Almighty God. Christ is King!

Nick or Treat 1985-2002, they couldn’t air this today

The Heritage American debate isn’t just about severing your connection to the American past. The more sinister idea is that what you do today carries no inheritance forward. Serve your country. Build something. Sacrifice. Endure. Die for it. Then be told your descendants have no special claim to your story, no right to take pride in your sacrifice, no deeper connection because of what you gave. Once you convince a people that inheritance, lineage, and posterity mean nothing, you’ve weakened one of the oldest reasons men sacrifice for a future they’ll never live to see. That is fertile ground for any system that wants loyalty transferred from family and inheritance to the state.
