John Dwyer's comments were disgraceful and his apology does not change the fact that he thought it appropriate to comment on the clothing of young girls and blame female victims of abuse and trauma. 1/2

A very sad day for nursing 😢
The biggest mistake the RCN made was when they sold us out to government by recommending we accept the paydeal initially. This sent a mixed message to its members & the government and weakened the RCNS credibility.

“Exhausted”, “burnt out” and “insulted” are the themes I am hearing from #nurses but make no mistake, our resolve is unbroken for quality patient care. Fair pay = safe staffing, there was money for crony contracts - there should be money to ensure nurses can afford to nurse.
