The way that Trump and those around him have made BILLIONS as Trump manipulates financial markets (and crypto) via tweet is a level of corruption beyond any former president. That his followers defend and nod along as he does it is the most depressing part of all - it's a cult.
BREAKING: Look at this. The day before Trump paused tariffs, triggering a historic 10% market rally, his accounts purchased 327 stocks worth up to $12.8 million. The trades were disclosed more than a year late, resulting in a $200 penalty. Unusual.

There's always a tweet and in the case of Trump folding to Iran there are MANY of them. What an absolute embarrassment, but hey at least some people close to the Trump family/admin made a ton of money speculating on oil and stocks every time Trump tweeted to manipulate markets.
No deal is better than a bad deal. America out negotiated again. #Iran

Trump handled the Iran war like he did with his trade wars. He impulsively creates a crisis leading to chaos and a drop in the stock market which causes Trump to ditch any goals he had, take an offer worse than what was there before he created the crisis, and declare victory.

Inflation watch: The April PPI (producer price index) rose 6% year/year (1.4% MoM) - above expectations of 4.8% and very high. The PPI "core" number also beat expectations, up 5.2% year over year. Those costs will be passed on to consumers by producers in coming months...

It's a cult, but it's funny how Trump gets people to debase themselves so easily.
NEW: MAGA evangelical leaders gather in Mar-a-Lago to bless and dedicate a gold statue dedicate to Donald Trump.

It's a cult, reason #7,387.
In celebration of America’s 250th anniversary, President Donald J. Trump’s signature alongside @SecScottBessent's will soon appear on U.S. currency, marking a first in history, and symbolizes @POTUS' leadership and dedication to our great nation will carry a lasting impact. reuters.com/world/us/trumps-…

This was the easiest prediction ever - the way people have made millions just as Trump moves markets via tweet is a hallmark of both of his terms. The open corruption of Trump when it comes to financial markets and crypto is mostly notable for those who excuse it.

Trump chickened out when the one voice he always listens to (financial markets) showed more pain ahead. And no doubt some people close to him probably made some nice $$ buying right before the TACO pivot as with tariffs and other Trump stock market freakouts.
🚨🚨Trump on Truth Social: I AM PLEASE TO REPORT THAT THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, AND THE COUNTRY OF IRAN, HAVE HAD, OVER THE LAST TWO DAYS, VERY GOOD AND PRODUCTIVE CONVERSATIONS REGARDING A COMPLETE AND TOTAL RESOLUTION OF OUR HOSTILITIES IN THE MIDDLE EAST. BASED ON THE TENOR AND TONE OF THESE IN DEPTH, DETAILED, AND CONSTRUCTIVE CONVERSATIONS, WITCH WILL CONTINUE THROUGHOUT THE WEEK, I HAVE INSTRUCTED THE DEPARTMENT OF WAR TO POSTPONE ANY AND ALL MILITARY STRIKES AGAINST IRANIAN POWER PLANTS AND ENERGY INFRASTRUCTURE FOR A FIVE DAY PERIOD, SUBJECT TO THE SUCCESS OF THE ONGOING MEETINGS AND DISCUSSIONS. THANK YOU FOR YOUR ATTENTION TO THIS MATTER! PRESIDENT DONALD J. TRUMP

If only there was a branch of government that is supposed to be the one to authorize tariffs and could stop the president from unlawfully imposing them if they actually wanted to...

We all knew since day one that Trump's tariffs were unconstitutional and yet all of his followers defended and justified them as they crushed small businesses while benefiting those with money and/or favors to give to Trump. Never forget that.
BREAKING: The Supreme Court on Friday invalidated most of President Trump's tariffs, a cornerstone of economic policy in his second term. Read more: abcnews.link/yKOiTeJ

Over 5m views for a post that is so obviously fake it only takes a minute to see there were NO 1-star reviews over this, yet she's banking on y'all being too emotionally stupid to check and from the engagement she's right. Victimhood sells so well with politics.
I run a business. A sports bar, JJ's Place. Yesterday 80% of the bar wanted the Turning point halftime show. The rest wanted Bad Bunny. To accommodate I put the TV's on half and half. The 20% started canceling the orders, taking to social media calling me a racist, being disrespectful to my staff, and leaving 1 ⭐️ reviews on Google and Yelp. Mind you the 80% who wanted the Turning Point halftime show weren't happy that Bad Bunny stayed on, but they didn't leave me a bad review, take to social media, cancel their orders, or disrespect my staff. It has become impossible to run a business. I support 3 generations of my family on a sole income, and try to accommodate everyone. The bar business is not what it used to be. Sad day.💔

The Trump White House earlier today defended the post, which is odd if it was erroneously posted.
Update: “A White House staffer erroneously made the post. It has been taken down” —White House official

Has anyone chickened out of more threats in as short a time as Donald Trump while getting absolutely nothing worthwhile in the process?

It's a cult and they're banking on their fanatics to not even do a basic check on the intentionally dishonest nonsense they say every single day because they've been conditioned to distrust anyone but their dear leader Trump.
No he didn’t, Libby. His written remarks referred to Greenland as a “piece of ice” because that’s what it is. You’re the only one mixing anything up here.

(Spoiler: the President has no tariff power under Article II)
Johnson: I have no intention of getting in the way of President Trump and his administration. He has used the tariff power that he has under Article II. He has not exceeded his authority. There is no reason for the Article I branch to intervene.

US Constitution Article I, which enumerates Congress’s powers, gives Congress authority to set tariffs/duties and regulate foreign commerce. constitution.congress.gov/constitution/a… Article II, which enumerates presidential powers, neither mentions tariffs nor gives the President power to levy them unilaterally. constitution.congress.gov/constitution/a…

The US added just 50k jobs in December against expectations of 70k, but revised *down* October and November a combined 76k jobs (now 56k in November, -173k in October). That's a rough jobs repost with a net -26k jobs when accounting for revisions.

It's a cult.
I have just been informed that the highly respected Board of the Kennedy Center, some of the most successful people from all parts of the world, have just voted unanimously to rename the Kennedy Center to the Trump-Kennedy Center, because of the unbelievable work President Trump has done over the last year in saving the building. Not only from the standpoint of its reconstruction, but also financially, and its reputation. Congratulations to President Donald J. Trump, and likewise, congratulations to President Kennedy, because this will be a truly great team long into the future! The building will no doubt attain new levels of success and grandeur.

The building is statutorily named the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. Congress did not give the board the authority to change the name. law.cornell.edu/uscode/text/20…

The US lost 105k jobs in October against expectations of -25k and added 64k jobs in November against expectations of +50k. Aug/Sept were revised *down* by another 33k jobs. Still waiting for those millions of new manufacturing jobs that Trump promised on Liberation Day...
