A thread 1/2 The Real History of School Violence in the United States: A Comprehensive Analysis: Mass Casualty School Violence: Comprehensive Data Analysis Based on rigorous analysis of mass casualty events (4+ killed or wounded, excluding perpetrators and gang violence), the data reveals important patterns in American school violence that challenge common narratives about recent trends. Historical Timeline and Key Incidents The analysis identifies 34 mass casualty school violence incidents from 1764 to 2024, resulting in 326 deaths and 336 wounded for a total of 662 casualties. The timeline shows that while school violence has deep historical roots, the nature and frequency have evolved significantly over time. Timeline of Mass Casualty School Violence Incidents in the United States (1764-2024) The earliest documented mass casualty event was the 1764 Enoch Brown massacre in colonial Pennsylvania, where 11 people died in a Native American raid during Pontiac's War. The deadliest single incident remains the 1927 Bath School disaster, where Andrew Kehoe used dynamite to kill 45 people and wound 58 others, making it responsible for more casualties (103) than any shooting incident before or since. Trends by Time Period When examining incidents by historical period, the data shows distinct patterns in both frequency and severity: Mass Casualty School Violence: Incidents and Casualties by Time Period The 1900-1949 period was particularly deadly due to the Bath School disaster, contributing to 54 deaths despite only 3 total incidents. The modern era (1990-2024) accounts for 24 of the 34 total incidents, representing a clear increase in frequency but not necessarily in per-incident severity. Per Capita Analysis Reveals Complex Trends When adjusting for student population growth, the trends become more nuanced: Mass Casualty School Violence Rates per Million Students Over Time The per capita rates show that while absolute numbers have increased, the rates per million students fluctuate significantly across periods. The 1990s actually had higher incident rates (0.152 per million students) than the 2010s (0.143 per million), suggesting that perceived increases may be influenced by media coverage rather than actual statistical trends. Modern Era Breakdown (1990-2024) The contemporary period shows varying patterns across decades: Modern Era School Mass Casualty Events by Decade (1990-2024) 1990s: 7 incidents, 42 killed, 53 wounded (95 total casualties) 2000s: 5 incidents, 60 killed, 48 wounded (108 total casualties) 2010s: 8 incidents, 89 killed, 72 wounded (161 total casualties) 2020s: 4 incidents, 35 killed, 33 wounded (68 total casualties) The 2010s had the highest casualty count despite not having the most incidents, indicating increased lethality per event. The 2020s data is partial but shows a concerning trend of maintaining high casualty rates.

Elon's making American Steel Great Again!
Elon Musk says SpaceX is using its rocket-engine casting shop to make turbine blades and vanes, the parts that run 12 to 18 months behind the rest of the turbine, so it can bring power online 12 to 18 months faster than anyone else “So we’re casting the blades and vanes for the turbines. So SpaceX already has a very advanced castings capability that was developed for rocket engines." "So we have, I think, actually the most advanced casting capability on Earth, because the demands for castings for rocket engines exceed the demands for anything else you could possibly imagine." "So, taking that incredible team that has, I think, objectively the most advanced casting technology in the world and saying, hey, can you guys also make some blades and vanes for terrestrial turbines is much easier than what they have done in the past." "And when we talk to the turbine suppliers, they tell us that the blades and vanes are 12 to 18 months behind the rest of the turbine. Meaning they can deliver everything except the blades and vanes 12 to 18 months before they can deliver the blades and vanes." "So casting is this really difficult bottleneck. And if anything, it seems to be getting worse." "So that means that we can bring power online 12 to 18 months faster than anyone else." "That’s the kind of advantage that’s difficult to replicate. Unless someone else is building an advanced casting shop, they will be unable to compete with SpaceX in this regard.”

Palmer Luckey is Elon 2.0
Palmer Luckey says Anduril doesn’t need 100,000 employees to compete with defense giants: “We’re using technology so each worker can have the strength of 100 men.” 🇺🇸 “Money is a proxy for productivity. Is it possible to have 10 times as many people and still be slower than the first company? The big defense companies have tens of thousands, even hundreds of thousands of people if you count contractors. But I don’t need that many people to do what I do. A lot of our manufacturing is automated. We have thousands of people manufacturing. We’re augmenting them with technology so each of them can work with the strength of 100 men—or build wiring harnesses with the strength of 1,000 men. I don’t measure my company’s progress by the number of people. I measure it by our output. Are we successfully making AI fighter jets, robotic submarines, rockets, munitions, and missiles? If we’re making those things, I’m OK with the company not growing in headcount—as long as our people are becoming more productive.”

Capitalism is male coded. Communism is female coded.
When I say that women lack the concept of an honorable enemy, this is what I’m talking about. Obviously a lot of the Democrats’ new vindictiveness is Trump derangement, but the Great Feminization is part of the story, too. Men understand that the other guy is a professional just like me, and we should have an open fight by fair rules and both go home at the end of the day. For women, conflict isn’t over until the other side is gone and they never have to talk to them again. Men believe in hierarchy, so a fight is about establishing dominance within the hierarchy and making the other guy subordinate. Women don’t, everything is egalitarian and consensus-driven, so if you do get conflict, the only possible outcome is total exclusion from the group. It makes sense that the Democratic Party is abandoning old-fashioned ideas about honorable conflict as it becomes more dominated by women.

🇺🇸 A former U.S. Army sniper claims AMERICAN SPECIAL FORCES FOUGHT REPTILIAN BEINGS In a secret underground base NEAR AREA 51 And somehow the story gets even crazier. Nick Betts says an elite JSOC operator told him about an emergency mission to investigate a secret facility that had suddenly gone silent. The first team sent inside allegedly disappeared. A second team arrived carrying advanced energy weapons, only to encounter three reptilian-looking creatures armed with the same technology. According to the account, one American soldier was killed before the creatures were eliminated. His body was allegedly cremated, the death disguised as a training accident, and the survivors ordered to keep quiet. And here's the part Betts says convinced him. When he questioned another operator about the incident, the man allegedly grabbed him by the throat and threatened him. There's just one rather important detail: The entire story came from an unnamed soldier during a night of HEAVY DRINKING in Poland... Source: Daily Mail, Insider Paper / Writer: Oliver

Games is a great place to start, but this legislation should apply to most software.
A U.S. congressman wants to change how we legally “own” video games. Rep. Ritchie Torres has announced plans to introduce the Power To The Players Act, a bill that would direct the FTC to create rules protecting consumers who buy video games. The proposal would give players three basic rights: >The right to own the games they purchase, rather than simply receiving a revocable license >The right to keep playing games after online servers are shut down, through an offline mode >The right to transfer or resell games they own Torres argues that if a company can take a game away simply by shutting down its servers, then the consumer didn’t really buy the game in the first place. Torres also hopes the legislation could eventually establish a precedent for ownership rights across other parts of the digital economy: “If you pay for it, you own it.”

Become a humanities professor after quitting heroin…
Ok… when you’re young you have energy, My best advice, two years post mid-life crisis is this: Go with the flow and don’t override your nature too much. Otherwise, you’ll become a humanities professor after you quit heroin… DURING WOKE… And you’ll be confused and lonely for no reason. Or something like that. Ok bye.

If you're pro-2A and still you GPT, what's wrong with you?
ChatGPT launches new anti-gun AI policies one day after Everytown recommends new anti-gun AI policies. The popular artificial intelligence assistant is now completely anti-gun. Gennifer Hesseling is the “shop mom” at a gun shop she started with her husband Phil in 2017, Hesseling & Sons Firearms & Gunsmithing. The business began in their garage almost 10 years ago, but they now occupy a 15,000 square foot facility located in Lima, Ohio. Gennifer, who has a background in graphic design, handles all of the shop’s marketing and social media, which has grown tremendously due to her hard work. She had been relying heavily on ChatGPT, an artificial intelligence or AI assistant made by OpenAI. “I’ve learned to be cautious because of the industry we’re in, but ChatGPT would help write copy and other media,” Gennifer said Monday. “We had a playful voice on our social media. I’m creative but if you tune your chatbot, it can mimic what you do and make it easier for you. It knows you and your products. It created actual ad campaigns. It would write and promote products for us. If I gave my chatbot what was in my head it would create it quickly.” One ad campaign was designed to presell specific products before the gun shop actually got them in stock. It was tremendously successful. Earlier this month, Gennifer wanted to create another ad campaign for gold-plated Desert Eagle pistols, which the shop was about to acquire. Unfortunately, her AI said no. “Until this month, we’ve never had an issue, but something changed. Our AI changed,” she said. “We’ve never had a restriction from ChatGPT about selling guns or promoting gun sales. Basically, the AI said, ‘I know we’ve done this in the past, but I can’t help you now.’ I was not selling anything illegal. I was asking my chatbot to assist with sales of lawful products.” Read more here: tinyurl.com/yn2dxv8x @2AFDN

Coming to a SWAT team near you.
Israeli company Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) and U.S. firearms manufacturer SIG SAUER have completed a live-fire test of the “FIRE STORM 250,” a vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL) drone armed with an M250 light machine gun. During the test, the drone reportedly hovered over a simulated battlefield, identified targets using its onboard camera and engaged them in single-shot and semi-automatic firing modes. According to IAI, the trials also assessed the system’s accuracy and built-in safety features. The M250 machine gun is mounted on SIG SAUER’s remotely operated MICROLIGHT weapon station. The combined weight of the station, gun and ammunition is approximately 24 kg (53 lb). The drone can reportedly remain airborne for up to three hours while carrying 200 rounds of ammunition. The system provides operators with live video, target tracking and fire-control information. A human operator must authorize every shot before the weapon can fire. If you don't know the difference between a form 4 and a 4473, please, STFU about gun issues.
Massive 2A win, but it’s not good enough, make it fully legal for me to buy NFA items with just a regular form 4 or better yet, no form at all, then we can talk
