No, it’s because AI (LLMs) is largely trained on [stolen] web dev codebases and it turns out to be the easiest branch of software
I think the web dev world is adjusting to AI fastest because we're used to everything changing every few weeks

I’m convinced that a large % of programmers don’t actually like computers. As a side effect, are also perfectly happy to throw away their reasoning to a model as soon as they can. I don’t get it, at ALL. Don’t you *LIKE* understanding the magic of the machine? You do realize hand-programming (I hate that I even have to specify hand now) is fun…right?

"foundational concepts and prior experience are not just nice to have, but necessary" "rule of thumb is anything you'd ask an AI to write, you should be able to write yourself." @JetBrains_Edu delivers cold hard facts on how to effectively use AI tools: know what you're doing.

Bragging about how much software you’re shipping with AI is like holding down the shutter button and bragging about how many photos you took.

💻 >15 years ago, we introduced the Chromebook. As computing shifts from traditional OSes to intelligence systems, we're rethinking laptops again. We're taking the best of Android & bringing it together with the best of ChromeOS to create... Googlebook.

Anthropic raised the price and lowered the quality in the same quarter. In any other industry that's called a scam.
