VIP used to be for meet and greets, early entry, pre show acoustic sets, etc.
Now they want like $600 for access to a “VIP lounge” which is generally just like a poorly lit room with a bar, a cheese spread, and a merch table lol

I’ll just add, most notably, the lack of variety for female vocalist?? Miranda once won it 7 out of 8 years and Lainey is on her 4th straight. I think that award has only been in the hands of 6 women in 20 years lol. Like, you can let someone else at the table.
It should not be underestimated how impressive this is, in a genre that includes women like Dolly, Martina, Faith, Reba, Shania, etc etc
