Someone contacted me on X claiming his friend works at @Revolut and could get my restricted account unlocked for $1,000 — $800 upfront and $200 after the account is restored.
When I refused, he started personally insulting me and even threatened to ask his supposed Revolut insider to keep my account blocked for longer.
So let me get this straight: someone is claiming that Revolut employees can unlock accounts for money AND deliberately extend restrictions out of personal revenge?
If this is a scam, it’s pathetic. If there’s any truth to it, Revolut has a MUCH bigger problem.

This is the dark side of fintech. Wise's algorithm flagged you, and once you are flagged, you remain flagged. We can retweet to help raise the noise, but the compliance bots don't have a "customer loyalty" button.
To avoid getting flagged by Wise, Revolut, or any other fintech algorithm, you essentially have to train yourself to behave like a predictable, boring robot.
Fintechs use a "guilty until proven innocent" model because it is cheaper for them to lock an account mistakenly than it is to pay a regulatory fine for missing a bad transaction.
I am sorry. I feel your pain.

I’ve used Wise for years and personally helped bring thousands of users to the platform by recommending it to everyone
Now my account has been suddenly closed, funds frozen, and I can’t even see a clear way to withdraw my own money. (They’ve disabled with transfer/withdrawn function.
No proper warning. No practical support. Just a generic robotic “risk tolerance” explanation.
For a company built on trust and transparency, now feels like they’ve gone rogue. Take your funds out of @wise ASAP something seems off with them

Tech Immigrants mostly Indians tapping Canadian PR loophole . Move from US to canada as PR , work remotely from canada for US company , get citizenship and move back to US. Canada needs to end this pitstop citizenship and make PR to citizenship longer than 5 -7 years and condition of PR to 250 days / year from current 180 ish.
