The EU swore its digital ID wallet would be voluntary. The law says so in writing. Regulation 2024/1183 promises that people who refuse the wallet will not be restricted or disadvantaged in any way. Now the EU’s anti-money laundering authority has told banks to use electronic ID “wherever possible.” Video checks and selfie verification are still allowed, but only as an exception. Any bank that onboards you without the wallet has to justify that choice to its supervisor and keep the images, video, and audio on file for later inspection. Customers who use the wallet need no further checks. Customers who don’t become paperwork, liability, and a conversation with a regulator. Banks can do that math. Nobody is being forced to use the wallet. Your bank is simply being given every reason to make sure you do. The wallet is voluntary in the same way a bank account is. reclaimthenet.org/eu-eudi-wa…

"non-custodial staking" is the funniest lie in crypto. you hold the withdrawal key, but some devop intern on AWS holds the signing key. their cloud gets breached, and suddenly the "decentralized proof of stake network" requires consensys to coordinate an emergency server reboot. ethereum moved to PoS so everyone could secure the network from home. and it just turned blockchain security into outsourced IT maintenance. fast forward to today: 90% of nodes sit on the same three cloud providers, managed by two wallet companies, wrapped in five layers of liquid staking tokens. metamask sneezes and half the validators need to be proactively unplugged. pure clown engineering. paying 10% fee to a wallet company so they can run an unvetted script on a centralized server and get hacked. not your server, not your validator.
Security Update: We are responding to a security incident affecting part of our infrastructure. At this time, we have identified no immediate threat to MetaMask wallets. As a precaution, we are proactively exiting affected validators within our non-custodial staking operations, in coordination with clients, partners and security advisors. We’ll share further updates as appropriate. metamask.io/news/user-update…

Since NEAR is not neutral, what happens when an aggrieved party sues them for either stopping or not stopping a disputed transaction? And what happens when various governments start demanding it censors transactions they consider problematic? This is guaranteed to happen.

You see the pattern? - ZEC: optional privacy. Viewing keys. ETF. - NEAR: DEX that can refuse the swap and freeze funds mid-execution. ETF. - RUNE: permissionless but fully traceable. Blamed for moving stolen funds. Delisted on Bitget 13 days before the hack. - XMR: privacy on by default. No off-switch. Delisted from the majors. No ETF. No compliance story. They don’t hate privacy. They hate privacy they can’t turn off. They will fund privacy they can audit. They will list privacy they can freeze. They will probably tolerate a swap engine they can still trace. They will not platform the coin that hides everything by default.

KYC is a danger to YOU. They collect your passport, address, face and financial information. They store it. They get hacked. YOU suffer the consequences. They can issue an empty apology then reset their database. You can't reset your face. They get the benefit. You carry all the risk. KYC isn't f*cking normal.

Cypherpunks built permissionless money… Then the crypto-cucks cheered on Governments to regulate it & decide who gets permission to use it. You genuinely couldn't make this sh*t up. Make crypto cypherpunk again.

Crypto supposed to be a toolset for trust minimization to enable and empower unstoppable money markets. Unfortunately, we got a lot of new king wannabies in the space , replacing trust minimization with trust-me-bro-and-follow-my-rules. But in 2026 their system is collapsing

Did you get an email from @Revolut mentioning that your data has been leaked? If so my condolences and ... well the trove of data in this case seems quite very bad.

Your TV might be one of 216,000,000 LG smart TVs sold worldwide. Researchers rooted one and pulled plain text transcripts of what people said in the room. It kept recording while the screen looked off. If your TV can do that, it’s time to look at everything else on your desk👇🏻

USE and DexyGold LP contracts are hacked. LPs fully drained. Protocol banks are not touched. Hundreds of tests, internal crosschecks, llm audit as well as external manual and llm audits didnt help. Now, lets observe damage, try to stop stolen funds @kucoincom and decide next steps

Yeah viruses are total bullshit. I can say that because I’ve looked into how they observe them and how they’ve never showed any causal relationship whatsoever to any illness. No expertise required. That is total and complete bullshit

USE is multilevel play: unstoppable digital dollar, attractive to secondary market traders, crosschained since day one, proof of work security against censorship, scarce digital asset in tail emission mode as a base reserve etc. Still very few understand

🚨 They have Flock, we have SparrowMap Meet SparrowMap. It's a DIY counter-surveillance tool that uses a webcam or old smartphone to detect, classify, and map government vehicles in real time. They track the public. Now the public is tracking them back.

🚨 Google is killing Android freedom. 🚨 In 2027, Google plans to roll out mandatory developer verification globally. Apps from developers who haven't registered with Google will face restrictions on certified Android devices → including apps installed outside Google Play. 🚩 F-Droid and other independent app stores will become harder to use 🚩 Sideloading unverified apps will require a special “advanced” process 🚩Independent developers and hobbyists will have to deal with Google’s registration system 🚩 Google is becoming a gatekeeper for software running on Android devices This undermines one of Android’s defining features: the freedom to install software from wherever you choose. 😤 Android is supposed to be open, and your phone should be yours → NOT GOOGLES. It’s time to support open alternatives like GrapheneOS, CalyxOS and LineageOS. ✊ Find out more: tuta.com/blog/android-side-l… Sign the petition: change.org/p/keep-android-op…

We won’t be able to avoid Chat Control and government/corporate surveillance in the future. But we can render that surveillance worthless. A censor’s database is only valuable if what’s in it actually means something. An AI agent nullifies the evidentiary value of everything they’ve collected about you. Let’s contaminate the censors! The new privacy rule for the AI era is: Any intercepted communication must always be AI-generated. contaminatecensors.org/ In the coming weeks, I’ll be publishing a set of AI prompts on notme.chat/ that will replace all of your (Chat Control) potentially spied-on communications with AI agents who will explain to your friends and acquaintances that they can only reach you via a secure messenger. If it’s not end-to-end encrypted, it’s not you.
