I wrote this, and I agonized over just about every word - nervous to share it with the world. The early responses have meant a lot. Thanks for giving it a read.

I had an unusually high # of convos this week noting how crazy EOY will be (and I concur). The pace this industry moves in certain areas is breakneck, but the wheels of change are still slow in some crucial others. Soon the wheels can’t be that slow, else be replaced by rockets.

CVS’ plan to close 900 stores is important to watch.
They may have the best vantage points of consumer behavior in healthcare.
The elephant in the room topic when #EHR folks are around. Some are doing well to angle for growth with the shift, but some (biggies) still look at this and roll their eyes. #digitalhealth
We hit a wide range of #digitalhealth from #mentalhealth to #interoperability to #wearables in this week’s Big Things.
Personally, had to cancel a family visit (WI to NY) due to delta variant concerns. A now quiet LDW means I have a vision quest or two in my future!

I know there’s an absolute rush on this relative space right now, but the approach Ellipsis’ tech takes is really freakin cool.

This is spot on. A major challenge is that many provider orgs run like government, where even though flattening and modernizing a huge cost center is the right move, the wheels of bureaucracy are extra slow to turn (especially where there are likely to be internal power shifts).
We get asked, sometimes a lot, about the big plays announced in healthcare interoperability. I will try to put pen to paper on as many as I can, starting with this one!

We've seen the beginning of #AI adoption in #Healthcare, but we've barely even scratched the surface.
Boundless #opportunities (Healthcare Weekly: bit.ly/3pJy1pO) await, as do extreme challenges (Forbes: bit.ly/3vcH8Ap).

Co-founders aren't people you meet at networking sessions.
They're your friends.
Get your smartest, hardest working friends and convince them to start a company with you.
I haven’t done a good enough job of tweeting our content. We’re really trying to bring insight to a broader audience on questions that we get often with our clients or peers. Please let me know what you think... #Untangle #Interoperability
It can be tough to get a layperson's overview of the ONC Cures Act Final Rule (first deadline April 5).
For anyone asking "what the heck do I need to know?" - here's a quick overview to get you started: untanglehealth.com/content-t…

Watching a series set in the 80’s, where nobody has cell phones, and people just have to like make a plan and meet somewhere. Or if you’re off handling your business, there’s a freedom while you’re in transit between activities. I only really experienced that...
I listened to a talk on blockchain use cases in healthcare. The folks that are in the weeds seem to be struggling with the concept that adoption strategies must be more simple if healthcare technology (with its track record) has a shot at near term blockchain embrace. #HCIT
Thought inspired by @PlungeFather: If you could take a time machine back in time and get into the baseball (or sport) card market before it takes off like big big time, and just drop a little cash, and then take that time machine right back to this current moment, would you?
