President Jimmy Carter created the Department of Energy and the Department of Education. He appointed Ruth Bader Ginsburg to the federal bench. He won the Nobel Peace Prize in 2002. There is so much to the Jimmy Carter legacy, much of it after his time in office, we discussed some of it here.
