The Government’s response to the Women and Equalities Committee report on tackling Non-Consensual Intimate Image (NCII) abuse has been met with serious concern by many.
Key areas of concern include the rejection of a statutory civil redress mechanism, a refusal to criminalise the possession of NCII content, and the continued reliance on voluntary industry participation in safety technologies such as StopNCII.org.
While some progress has been made, measures fall short.
In line with the government's reply on tackling NCII abuse, @SWGfL_Official has released a comprehensive response, detailing the need for urgent change.
