I am claiming that based off what I have explored in vision: Vision transformers, convolutional neural nets (CNN) all struggling to learn basic 2D rotational invariance yet a toddler can learn to recognize an elephant under such basic transformations with 1 or very few examples.

The United States under President Trump initiated the current trade war by imposing 25% tariffs on most Canadian goods in March 2025, citing border and fentanyl issues. Canada retaliated. Later rounds, including the August 2026 50% US tariffs on $20B of Canadian goods, followed the same pattern of US action then Canadian response.
