It pulls together public ADS-B, weather radar, satellite, dashcam and drone video onto one timeline.
Here's what we know as of Nov 2 based on OSINT and today's NTSB briefing:
- Went from ~35,000 ft to impact in ~78 seconds
- Flew into a string of thunderstorms
- Crew reported ice and turbulence; asked to climb then issued a mayday
- All nine aboard are deceased, with one person injured on the ground
- Plane debris spread across half a mile and still being recovered
- NTSB says there is some evidence the jet broke up before impact
- Weather at altitude is a key focus of the investigation; but the official cause is still TBD
I make a lot of 4D reconstructions and this is the most visceral and gut wrenching thing I’ve heard in a long time. My heart goes out to the families of those on board. Important to note that the details so far point to severe weather at altitude rather than a missile or air defense system.

Major hasn't felt a human hand in over 545 days.
He's a service dog in Austin. A car hit him on a walk last year, and hurt and scared, he bit a woman who tried to pick him up. It was a bad bite. Nobody's denying that.
Since then he's been alone in an isolation kennel at the city shelter. Austin wants him put down. His owner says Major helps him with a brain injury and seizures, and a federal court has it on hold while it decides if an outside expert can evaluate him.
A hurt dog that bit once deserves a real evaluation before anybody kills him.
Should Major get that chance?

K9 Kylo died on what was supposed to be his last shift ever.
Portland, Oregon. A US Marshals Pacific Northwest Violent Offender Task Force, made up of officers from multiple agencies, encountered a wanted homicide suspect near Southeast 97th and Oak Street Thursday afternoon. Shots were fired. The suspect, wanted in connection with a Gresham homicide earlier that day, was pronounced dead at the scene. Kylo was injured in the same shooting and rushed to an animal hospital, but didn't survive.
Kylo served Portland PD for 6 years. Today was scheduled to be his retirement, his final shift on the job before going home for good.
He went out working, on the exact day he was supposed to stop. Rest easy, Kylo. You more than earned that retirement you never got to enjoy.

I’ve always thought how confusing and heartbreaking it must be for an animal/pet when their friend just vanishes. Glad they let him see her one final time, hopefully that helps them understand a little and gives them closure. 💔
