🚨4KOTA| CHAPTER 258 SPOILER Lancelot falls to his knees, apologizes to Zeldris, and says he has reached his limit. Cath reveals the truth behind Lancelot's restricted movements this whole time: throughout the entire fight, Lancelot was using his body and soul to forcibly suppress the "Malice" of Chaos. He didn't want to destroy the Demon Realm nor eliminate Zeldris; on the contrary, he was holding back to create an opening, hoping that Zeldris could stop him before he completely lost control to Cath's malice and his destructive impulse. This voluntary restraint served to buy time until the citizens of the Demon Realm could safely evacuate to the Abyss. When Lancelot reaches his limit, Cath taunts him by saying that everything that happens from then on will be his own fault, the result of the "rebound effect" from trying to suppress the Malice so forcefully. Cath praises Zeldris and says that for a rookie Demon King, he did very well. He also states that sealing the will of Chaos would require two beings with the same power level as the Supreme Deity and the former Demon King. After giving in to the Malice, Chaos Lancelot attacks Zeldris with everything he has. Zeldris uses his final moments before the impact not with hatred, but to leave a message of encouragement for Lancelot, stating that Percival, Meliodas, and the others will surely save him, and asking him not to lose hope of recovering himself.
