Ukraine’s Third Army Corps reportedly asked Western OSINT analysts to stop publishing geolocations of Ukrainian advances during Operation Vivaldi.
Russian military analysts often reuse Western OSINT instead of independently verifying battlefield information.
When Western analysts stopped publishing updates from the area, that stream of information largely disappeared too.

A Norwegian man in his 20s has been sentenced to 3 years and 6 months in prison for, among other offences, aggravated intelligence activities on behalf of a foreign state. He worked as a security guard at the US Embassy in Oslo when arrested in Nov. 2024.
