We are a group of parents who began a fight to secure safer school environments for staff and children in 2020. Sadly the fight is ongoing.🍎

Dear parents, you will have seen that the government has awarded teachers a pay rise. Unfortunately, what they haven't told you is this.
The government aren't paying for it, your children are.

"This pay award is wholly inadequate and represents the worst of all worlds – a substantial real-terms pay cut for the majority of teachers which will worsen teacher shortages...." Our full response to teachers’ pay award bit.ly/3uV0wVp

Nadhim Zahawhi says if the teachers strike he will rally an ARMYof supply teachers.😂😂😂😂😂😂

Well good luck with that Nadhim because my kids’ school has been short-staffed everyday since Covid. A TA dead, the head off for months with Covid pneumonia & we’ve had constant disruption as there’s a shortage of supply teachers. I still support the teachers strike though! ✊

I'm loving how #MickLynch and #KevinCourtney are not only pushing the case for their own members, but are also generalising to widen the argument that the rich are getting richer, the poor poorer and that all workers deserve better pay. A rallying call: stand together

Average pay rise in last 10 years:
MPs - £19,000.
Public - £5,000.
Don't you ever believe them when they say "all in this together". Crooks.

BREAKING: Boris Johnson wants to make Britain the second country to pull out of the European Convention on Human Rights. The other country is Russia and they did this because of the Ukraine war. Doesn't this make you proud to be British? x

I myself have wondered why refugees didn't stay in European countries and have travelled on. So I asked them.

Don't forget, viral load may also play a part in how bad your infection is.
Imagine the difference between eating 1 food-poisoning inducing prawn and 1000 food-poisoning inducing prawns.
A mask will reduce your viral load.
Meeting outside will reduce your viral load.

My relationship with my country is akin to a long, drawn out and brutal separation where I no longer recognise the person she's become and can't remember the good times we had.
It's just awful that you've referred to this as 'Fantasic News'. Just awful.

I cannot say this loudly enough...issuing fines to parents does not make their children go to school.
I have dismissed some horrendous cases brought by Local Authorities against parents who had excellent reasons for their children not attending school. It boggles the mind!
Safeb4GoingBack retweeted
Schools Bill is a direct attack on home schooling families: mandatory registration, increase in fines & imprisonment when it comes to school attendance.
It fails to tackle the root cause which forces many families to Home Ed who'd rather not:
Improve provision for SEND children!

On recent dog walk, got chatting to a lady I'd met a few times:
Her: Are you holidaying abroad this year
Me: I can't because of Covid & immunosuppressed family members
Her: But Covid is over now
Me: 1 in 45 people are infected & 1,000 ppl a week dying
Her: Not now though
