I don't like to comment on these matters, but I see a lot of empathy being directed in the wrong direction.
The only people you should empathize with and feel sorry for are the competitors who were directly affected by his actions, who had match wins, tournament results, prizes, and accomplishments stolen from them.
CTCG will bounce back. But what he did to his opponents is irreparable.

Riftbound bit off a lot getting OP up and running as quickly as they did, combine that with Best-Of prizing and you’ve got a recipe for smash-and-grab cheaters ruining shit for everyone else. I think anything less than a lifetime ban doesn’t signal the appropriate seriousness.
I want to apologize to Minh, Challenger TCG and all of my supporters who defended me. I really fucked up and double down on it. I was afraid and have never been in this situation before. I didn’t want to let everyone down by telling the truth of what really happened, and on top of lying to everyone including my family and friends, I was lying to myself. I didn’t wanna believe it myself that what I was doing was cheating, as crazy as that sounds. I know what I did was wrong, and again, nothing I can say can change that I truly am sorry to everyone, especially to my opponents who I played against. I love Riftbound with everything I have and unfortunately, I really let down a lot of people. I truly am sorry.

I'm deadass an idiot. I'm about 35hrs into Control Resonant and I only just realised you're supposed to be levelling up the other weapon forms & secondaries alongside your main one, because it boosts your overall damage and falter.
I thought you picked 1 weapon, 1 secondary, and 1 combo, and that was basically the path you followed for the whole game unless you wanted to respec. I was wondering why upgrading felt boring until I realised I had 99999+ source and I was hording all my resources.

As someone raised by tumblr (unfortunately), the covid conscious lesbian bar story is a lil disturbing bc I see my past behaviors in it. I was a self-righteous wokescold as a teen and as a young adult and I'm so happy I grew out of it. Sometimes my heart was in the right place and my passion was appropriate, but oftentimes I was just trying to justify my dislike for someone or something.
I try to keep my online and irl spaces free of wokescolds and the only way to do it is to have a zero tolerance policy. Catering to wokescolds leads to a space dominated by them, and then normal people who are charitable in their interpretations and free of black and white thinking don't want to be there. And that sucks! You'll be surrounded by crusaders ready to ruin your life and paint you as an ultra ableist for not agreeing with their Steven Universe headcanons or something.
