DSA "foot soldiers" then engage in sustained confrontations with Trump's administration, pushing toward a "doomsday scenario" involving the Insurrection Act. The resulting federal response supposedly becomes the justification for declaring Washington illegitimate and elevating Democratic governors as alternative sources of political authority.
