🇨🇦Proud Canadian🇨🇦 Donald Trump has declared economic war on Canada. We are at war. If you are a Canadian and you side with him, you are a traitor.

FOR CANADIAN EYES ONLY. 🍁 DON’T EVEN THINK ABOUT READING THIS IF YOU’RE NOT CANADIAN. A LOVE LETTER TO CANADA. Dear Canada, Sometimes, in all the noise, the arguments and the headlines, we forget just how extraordinary you are. So today, this one’s for you. You’re the country that gave the world hockey, basketball, insulin, IMAX and the Canadarm. You’re Alexander Graham Bell experimenting with the telephone in Brantford. Frederick Banting and his colleagues helping bring insulin treatment to the world. Geoffrey Hinton and Yoshua Bengio helping lay the foundations of modern artificial intelligence. You’re Donna Strickland revolutionizing laser technology and James Gosling creating Java. You’re Wayne Gretzky, Bobby Orr, Gordie Howe and Sidney Crosby. You’re Summer McIntosh making us leap off the couch and cheer. And you’re Terry Fox, running down a lonely Canadian highway on one leg, showing the world that courage isn’t measured by how far you get, but by how far you’re willing to go. You’re Gordon Lightfoot singing about the Edmund Fitzgerald and the Canadian Railroad Trilogy. You’re Stompin’ Tom Connors, stomping his boot through The Hockey Song and singing about places most of the world had never heard of. You’re The Tragically Hip, turning small towns, hockey heroes and Canadian history into the soundtrack of a generation. You’re Leonard Cohen, Oscar Peterson, Céline Dion, Anne Murray and Neil Young. You’re John Candy, Eugene Levy, Catherine O’Hara, Martin Short, Mike Myers and Jim Carrey, making the world laugh. You’re Lorne Michaels creating Saturday Night Live and James Cameron taking audiences to worlds they’d never imagined. You’re Lucy Maud Montgomery and Anne Shirley, that wonderfully imaginative red-haired girl who made a little farmhouse on Prince Edward Island famous around the world. You’re the Group of Seven, who looked at crooked pines, rocky shorelines and windswept forests and showed us just how beautiful our country really is. You’re Viola Desmond refusing to accept segregation. Willie O’Ree breaking hockey’s colour barrier. And generations of Canadians who stood up against injustice, opened doors and helped make this country better. You’re the First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples whose cultures, languages, knowledge and traditions have shaped these lands for thousands of years. You’re Tanya Tagaq, Susan Aglukark, Kenojuak Ashevak and the countless Indigenous artists and storytellers whose voices continue to enrich this country. You’re the powerful stories of the Wendigo, carried through generations of Algonquian-speaking peoples. And you’re Sasquatch, who’s apparently still doing a remarkable job of avoiding a decent photograph. You’re the Rocky Mountains rising above British Columbia and Alberta. The endless prairie skies of Saskatchewan and Manitoba. The lakes and forests of Ontario and Quebec. The red soil and rolling hills of Prince Edward Island. The rugged coastline of Newfoundland and Labrador. The fishing villages, covered bridges and ocean breezes of New Brunswick and Nova Scotia. You’re the northern lights dancing above Yukon, the Northwest Territories and Nunavut. You’re the Atlantic crashing against the rocks, the Pacific stretching toward the horizon and the Arctic reminding us just how vast this country really is. You’re canoeing across a still lake at sunrise, with nothing but the sound of a paddle dipping into the water. You’re the haunting call of a loon across the lake. The smell of pine trees after the rain. The crunch of autumn leaves under your boots. You’re cottage docks, swimming holes, fishing trips, portages and the sound of rain on a tent roof. You’re campfires, s’mores, mosquito bites and someone insisting they know a shortcut back to the campsite. You’re a marshmallow catching fire while three people shout conflicting instructions. You’re Saturday mornings at the rink. Skates drying by the door. Frozen ponds, backyard hockey and road hockey games interrupted by someone yelling, “CAR!” You’re snow days, snow forts, toboggan hills and the first warm afternoon in spring when everyone suddenly appears outside. You’re poutine, butter tarts, Nanaimo bars, Montreal bagels, Halifax donairs and sirop d’érable poured generously over Sunday pancakes. You’re maple trees turning brilliant red in October. The first snowfall in November. The last stubborn snowbank in April. And the annual Canadian tradition of declaring winter officially over about six weeks too early. You’re the neighbour who shovels your driveway without being asked. The stranger who helps push your car out of a snowbank. The person who holds the door for someone twenty feet away, leaving both of them in an awkward little race to be polite. You’re communities that come together when someone loses a home, faces a tragedy or simply needs a hand. You’re the people whose families have lived here for generations and those who arrived yesterday, carrying their hopes for a better life. You’re English and French, Indigenous languages and hundreds of others spoken around kitchen tables across this enormous country. You’re accents that change from one province to the next. You’re kitchen parties, community rinks, summer festivals, farmers’ markets and neighbours gathering around a backyard fire. You’re small towns where everybody knows everybody. And big cities where people from every corner of the world have found a place to belong. You’re not perfect, Canada. There are painful chapters in your history, injustices that must be confronted and promises still waiting to be fulfilled. We disagree. We argue. We complain about the weather, the government, the price of groceries and the Leafs. But when something truly matters, we have an extraordinary capacity to come together. We’ve given the world discoveries that saved lives. Inventions that changed industries. Music that moved generations. Stories that travelled across oceans. Athletes who inspired millions. And ordinary people who accomplished extraordinary things. Yet some of the best things about you aren’t famous at all. They’re the little things. A canoe on a quiet lake. A familiar song on the radio. The smell of a campfire. A hockey game on a frozen pond. Fresh snow falling beneath a streetlight. A neighbour waving from across the street. A loon calling somewhere in the distance. The sound of laughter around a kitchen table. The feeling of coming home. Because that’s what you are, Canada. Not just a country on a map. Not just a flag, a border or a collection of provinces and territories. You’re the memories we carry. The stories we tell. The people we love. The places we miss when we’re away. From coast to coast to coast, we’re different in a thousand ways. And somehow, through all those differences, we share something that feels unmistakably like home. So here’s to you, Canada. Not because we’re better than anyone else. Not because we’ve got everything figured out. And certainly not because we’re perfect. But because you’re ours. Our landscapes. Our stories. Our laughter. Our memories. Our home. And sometimes, in a world that seems determined to remind us of everything that’s wrong, it’s worth remembering just how much there is to love. With love, eh? Canadians. 🍁

Listen, @Tesla could bring out a vehicle that flies me to Saturn and back, cleans my house from top to bottom, cooks my dinner every night, paints my fence and strokes my head when I’m hungover and I still wouldn’t spend a fucking penny on one of that fascist cunt’s cars.

So, MAGA, let me make sure I understand the strategy. Canada is the enemy. Europe is the enemy. Japan is the enemy. South Korea is the enemy. Australia and New Zealand are the enemy. Russia is the friend. You want to trade the richest, most technologically advanced alliance network on Earth, representing tens of trillions of dollars in economic power, for Russia. You are trading a fleet of aircraft carriers for a rowboat. You are trading North America, Europe and the advanced democracies of Asia-Pacific for Russia. You are trading an economic and military network spanning three continents for one country with an economy comparable to a single small European state. And this is supposed to make America stronger? That is a big downgrade. But it is who you are.
Trump supports the Dictator Putin and opposes Ukraine who wants our freedom and Independence. Ukraine loves America freedoms. Putin hates it. Why does Trump love Putin?

Dear Mr. @elonmusk, why do you never call for Putin to go? He's ruled Russia as a dictator for 26 years. Isn't that enough? You know, Putin thinks you are a fool. He thinks he has your number. Behind closed doors, they tell jokes about you. You do his bidding here -- calling for Zelenskyy to go -- and he doesn't even have to bribe you, like Schroeder or others. I am a huge admirer of your work when it comes to making things that improve our world. Huge! I find your judgments of Putin naive. But I know I might be "biased." He has killed some of my friends & colleagues. My guess is he hasn't killed any of your friends. Please spend some time in Kyiv. Meet some mothers whose kids were deliberately killed by Putin's drones. And then go to Moscow and try to meet some mothers whose kids were deliberately targeted by Ukrainian rockets and drones. You won't find any. Putin is slaughtering innocent civilians in Ukraine on purpose. Zelenskyy is not.

All Russians should be persona non grata in Europe at least. There are apparently many FSB agents and operatives amongst them judging by all the sabotage incident across Europe. Canada should also ban all Russian tourists. @gary_srp @AnitaAnandMP @MarkJCarney
For the life of me, I do not understand why Russians have any freedom of movement when it comes to foreign travel. They should require visas for every country they enter and the default should be that visas are denied.

I have always loved Washington, DC, for various reasons. But a recent visit to the city was a bitter experience. Here is a very personal essay, but one that others will relate to, I know. Anyway, see what you think. thenextmove.org/p/our-nation…

Everyone should watch the documentary: Get me Roger Stone. It's shocking how much power this guy has had since the 1970s. In the early 1980s, Stone began working with Donald Trump through Black, Manafort and Stone, who was the firm's first client. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Get_Me…
Boy, that Roger Stone is a busy guy! He was already healing famous nut job Derek Sloan of the Ontario Party! Where does he find the time to help out all of Canada's craziest, least relevant or relatable politicians?

WE COUNT THE ENEMIES WE KILL. WE RARELY COUNT THE ONES WE CREATE. Nidal Hasan was a patient on my floor in the surgical trauma ICU at Brooke Army Medical Center. I wasn't there when he arrived. I had just left for my deployment to Mosul, Iraq. But the nurses and doctors who cared for him were my peers and my friends, and I know exactly what that required of them, because every one of us had done some version of it before. Before anyone tells me what strength looks like, understand what that work demands. I have cared for a drunk driver who wiped out an entire family and landed in our ICU himself. I have cared for gang members who shot up a block while children were stepping off a school bus, then ended up on our unit with bullets of their own. I have kept alive people who murdered their own families and failed at taking their own lives. And in Iraq, I saved the lives of the very enemy fighters who had just tried to kill us and miraculously survived our response. Every one of those patients got our best. Not because we felt anything for them, but because of who we were. You set aside anger, grief, prejudice and every personal feeling you have, because a life in front of you is a life in front of you. That's the oath. That's the duty. So when Hasan came through those doors, my colleagues did what we had always done. They preserved the life of a man who murdered thirteen people and would have killed them too, given the chance. He killed those men and women in one of the very same buildings many Soldier's like myself have been in when I was stationed at Fort Hood. He is alive today because they did their jobs. That was not sentiment. It was a hard, tangible expression of the values this country claims to stand for. Our principles had to mean something even when the person benefiting from them had violated everything we believed in. Now the Pentagon plans to livestream his execution by firing squad on Dec. 3, and our leaders apparently believe turning his death into a public spectacle will demonstrate American strength. I think it demonstrates how little they understand the enemy they claim to be fighting. We kept Nidal Hasan alive, now our leaders want to make him a martyr. Hasan walked into Fort Hood expecting to die. He believed his death would be rewarded. At his trial, he called no witnesses and offered no defense, and his own court-appointed lawyers worried he was seeking execution. He failed at martyrdom once. Now we're about to hand it to him, in high definition, for every extremist with an internet connection to replay, manipulate and celebrate. We supply the footage. They supply the meaning. Long after the politicians finish congratulating themselves, that video will still exist. Their moment of bravado becomes somebody else's recruiting material for decades. And this failure to think past the immediate display of power reaches far beyond one execution. We count the enemies we kill. We rarely count the enemies we create. Look at the school in Minab, Iran, where multiple investigations attributed the strike that killed more than 100 children and their teachers to us. You cannot bury people's children beneath the rubble of their classrooms and expect a speech about American intentions to decide how they remember you. No denial brings those children home. No claim of good intentions makes their parents forget whose weapons killed them. If those were our children, we would remember for the rest of our lives. We would demand accountability. Many of us would want vengeance. We would tell their stories to the next generation. We know this because we did exactly that after September 11. Why do we imagine other people love their children less, grieve less deeply, or remember less clearly? We have developed a horrifying talent for creating more terrorists than we will ever stop. We inflict suffering, evade responsibility, and then act as though the anger that follows came out of nowhere. Think back to the first time you saw one of those al Qaeda videos of an American being beheaded. Remember the sickness in your stomach. Remember the rage. Remember thinking that only savages would film a killing and send it out for the world to watch. Now ask yourself what the rest of the world will see when the camera is ours. Terrorist organizations stage executions for the cameras. Authoritarian regimes make death a public spectacle to feed fear and rage. Watching our own leaders reach for those same tools should force us to confront how much of ourselves we are surrendering in the name of defeating them. The line separating us from the people we condemn has to live in our conduct. A flag cannot hold it for us. Neither can a uniform, a title, or a declaration that we are the good guys. On that ICU floor, on a bloody street in Mosul, and in trauma bays across this country, people like my colleagues hold that line every day under circumstances most will never face. They keep monsters alive because their duty and their humanity are bigger than their hatred of what those monsters have done. Execute him if that's the sentence. But do it the way a confident nation does; quietly, lawfully, and without giving him the stage he always wanted. Let him be forgotten. I expect our leaders to show at least as much discipline as the nurses who had to care for him. They keep telling us they are defending what makes America different. Every day, they make that difference harder to see. Robert W. Burns III is the editor and publisher of The Space Coast Rocket, an Army veteran and a retired trauma nurse. The views expressed in this column are his own.

Pure fantasy. We know Putin is lying because he lies about everything. Unfortunately, the same goes for Trump, who is desperate to look like he’s doing something before the midterms about the spike in fuel prices he caused by attacking Iran.
Clash Report
@clashreportOct 9
BREAKING: Trump: I have just concluded a highly successful discussion with President Vladimir Putin, of Russia, wherein it was agreed that Russia will immediately supply over 300,000 Tons of Diesel Fuel to the American and Global Marketplace, another 500,000 Tons during the month of November, and 1,000,000 Tons immediately thereafter. Additionally, based on the condition of their Diesel Refineries, Russia will then deliver, within a short period of time, 3,000,000 Tons of Diesel Fuel. Between our TOTAL CONTROL of the Strait of Hormuz, and this great announcement on Russian Energy, Diesel Prices for Americans and, indeed, the World, will be COMING DOWN, IN RECORD NUMBERS, AND FAST! Lower prices for Americans, especially our Great Farmers, Ranchers, and Truckers, is my Greatest Priority. This is a very big and important announcement. Additionally, it must be understood, that Iran will not have a Nuclear Weapon! Thank you for your attention to this matter.
