I'm going to be needing bleach for that...

Taking off my jacket to give it to her.

hyde.xn--6ii This is so broken I can't even see my own writing in my own TL...

It means she's paying attention to me. Why wouldn't I like that?

I really like the sound of that.

Oh? She's getting protective over me?

Most definitely. Especially when he's trying to steal my metal arm...

He's a little menace. I don't even want to think of what would happen if alcohol was involved.

No. But imagine if he got drunk...

I'd open a bottle for us, but I have the feeling the little thief would snatch it.

I know... And... long story.

I don't know what you're talking about. Also, I'll share my snacks with you willingly. No need to steal them, Harls.

"I'm sure it'd be delightful," I teased, mirroring her expression for a moment. "I know what I am. I've accepted it a long time ago. There isn't much I can do about it other than take it as a piece of my past that I can't fully undo. Some things I can't unlearn."

Amusement danced across my features. "Good thing I'm not 'most.'" My head tilted a fraction, a faint smile tugging at the corner of my mouth. "I pay attention."

My gaze lingered on her for a brief moment. "Obvious isn't your style, I'll give you that." A slight shrug. "But even ghosts make a ripple if you know what to look for."

Shrugging. "It wouldn't be the first time, nor the last. I was a made to be a 𝘸𝘦𝘢𝘱𝘰𝘯, and I was also a 𝘴𝘰𝘭𝘥𝘪𝘦𝘳 once..." My gaze traced her form as she stood, giving him a smirk. "Quite impressive. I wouldn't mind seeing your moves."
