🚨 MARYLAND LOSES 20,100 JOBS IN TWO MONTHS — AUGUST LOSSES REVISED SHARPLY HIGHER
New federal employment figures show Maryland’s economy shed another 8,800 jobs in September, following a revised 11,300-job loss in August.
▪️ 20,100 JOBS LOST: Combined decline across August and September.
▪️ −3,700: Leisure and hospitality suffered September’s largest industry decline.
▪️ −3,300: Education and health services also lost jobs.
▪️ −1,400: Professional and business services contracted.
▪️ 3.9% UNEMPLOYMENT: The jobless rate declined despite falling payroll employment.
Maryland’s total payroll employment is now 0.5% below September 2025.
Gov. Wes Moore frequently promotes economic growth and business investments, but the latest federal figures show two consecutive months of job losses.
With Maryland facing multibillion-dollar budget deficits, what is Annapolis doing to reverse the decline in private-sector employment?

It’s not going to get better because this is the outcome they want. And they have a plan. You accept this & they move the goal posts again. And again and again. Until there is nothing left that you recognize & you have lost everything. And then it’s the gas chambers or something similar. And you may wish you’d done something before you were reduced to nothing & had no fight left in you.
Europeans,
Seeing what is going on in France, I have just one question:
Do you get it now?
This isn’t going to get better on its own. Sign the @SaveEuropeAct

A farmer, tired of rats destroying his crops and stealing his grain, came up with a clever but cruel plan. He threw a dead pig into a deep, abandoned well. Attracted by the smell, nearly 80 rats rushed into the well to feast on the carcass. At first, everything seemed wonderful. There was more than enough food for everyone, and the rats ate until they were satisfied.
But when the food was gone, they discovered something terrifying. The walls of the well were too steep to climb. They were trapped. Days passed, and hunger turned into desperation. Desperation turned into aggression. The rats that had once eaten peacefully beside one another began fighting for survival. Eventually, they began killing and eating each other.
One by one, their numbers dwindled until only a single rat remained. Its eyes were bloodshot, and it had survived by consuming its own kind. Then the farmer returned, lowered a rope into the well, and rescued the last surviving rat. But he didn't save it out of kindness or compassion.
The farmer knew the rat had learned to survive by hunting other rats. When he released it into his fields, it would continue killing its own kind instead of eating his grain. The farmer had turned his enemy into his greatest weapon.
And that is the lesson of divide and conquer. Those who control the trap don't need to fight the battles themselves. They simply create the conditions in which others turn against one another.
The rats believed their enemies were the other rats. They never realized that the true enemy was the farmer who had put them there.
The greatest danger isn't always the enemy standing in front of you. Sometimes it's the one who created the conflict and stands quietly watching you destroy each other.
Before you turn against your neighbor because of their political beliefs, ask yourself who benefits from keeping Americans divided. While we fight each other over Republican and Democrat, we may be overlooking those who profit from the conflict. Perhaps the real question isn't which side you're on, but who built the well—and why they want us fighting at the bottom of it.

A warning to the U.S.:
My dear American friends,
I say this with love, as someone who has lived among you and owes you a great deal: your midterms are on November 3rd. And the same alliance is growing inside your Democratic Party. The same far-left wing that treats disorder as protest and police as the enemy. The same activists who refuse to draw a line between legitimate dissent and those who openly despise the West. The same politicians who think tolerance means tolerating everything, including the people who want to burn it down.
It always starts with excuses. Then comes impunity. Then come the flames.
Same causes, same effects. If you create the conditions we created, you will get exactly what we got tonight.
France was the country of the Enlightenment, of cathedrals and town halls that stood for centuries. Tonight, one of them collapsed live on social media while the government called for calm.
My dear American friends, the only advantage you have over us is that you've been warned.
Vote like your city hall depends on it. Because one day, it will. “
Tonight, France burned. America, you should be watching very carefully.
Today, October 17, 2026, more than half a million people marched across France against the cost of living. By 8pm, around 400 had been arrested. In Paris, police turned water cannons on the crowds at Place de la République, and one march was stopped 150 meters from the Élysée Palace. Of the 195 people arrested in the capital by the afternoon, only one actually lived in Paris. Mobs forced their way into the city halls of Marseille and Lille. In Lyon, a tourism office was set on fire. In Rennes, barricades burned. Near Limoges, a highway was blocked and police cars were torched.
And then came Limoges.
A crowd of very young people stormed the city hall, a protected historic monument built in the 1880s. They flipped police cars in front of it and set them ablaze, then set the building itself on fire. The flames took the roof, the wedding hall, and the civil registry, the office that records every birth, every marriage, every death in the city. Tonight, the bell tower that has crowned Limoges for nearly 150 years collapsed.
The mayor's response: "It's a monument that is burning, not the Republic."
That is the problem in one sentence. Our leaders still think words can put out fires.
None of this came out of nowhere. For twenty years, the French political class has excused everything. Every riot was "anger." Every burned car was a "social symptom." Every attack on police was "a reaction to provocation." And the hard left, La France Insoumise, which officially backed today's mobilization, built its electoral machine on an alliance with political Islamism: refusing to condemn, refusing to name, trading secularism and public order for votes. In France we have a word for it. Islamo-gauchisme. Islamo-leftism.
Tonight you saw where that culture of excuse ends. A country where a mob can burn down a town hall, and the state arrives after the roof has already fallen in.

Think Tank Backed by Soros Network Names Eight Maryland Counties for More Immigration
The Niskanen Center's Migration Match Index identifies eight Maryland counties as suitable for increased immigration based on economic indicators. Funded by George Soros's Open Society Foundations, the model advocates local and private sponsorship of immigrants without prior consultation with residents, raising concerns about the decision-making process and capacity for new arrivals....

🚨 POWER GRID EMERGENCY DECLARED IN MARYLAND AS ELECTRICITY SHORTAGES THREATEN MID-ATLANTIC RELIABILITY.
The U.S. Department of Energy has issued an emergency order covering Maryland and 12 other states as unusually high electricity demand, power plant maintenance, and transmission outages threaten the regional power grid.
Energy Secretary Chris Wright signed the emergency declaration October 12, authorizing PJM Interconnection to take extraordinary measures to prevent blackouts.
KEY DETAILS:
▪️ 13 STATES + D.C.: The emergency covers PJM’s regional electricity system, serving approximately 65 million people.
▪️ OCTOBER 13–16: The federal emergency order remains in effect for four days unless extended.
▪️ 111,500 MEGAWATTS: PJM’s projected electricity demand for October 13.
▪️ 61,591 MW OFFLINE: Approximately 61.6 gigawatts of generating capacity are unavailable during the autumn maintenance period.
▪️ 900 MW RESERVE MARGIN: PJM warned that its forecast supply could come within 900 megawatts of its required reserve margin on October 14.
▪️ MARYLAND HOT SPOTS: The Baltimore Gas and Electric (BGE) and Pepco service areas are among the regions facing significant reliability concerns.
▪️ DATA CENTER BACKUP POWER: The federal order authorizes PJM to tap backup generators and battery systems at data centers and other large commercial facilities as a last resort.
▪️ ENVIRONMENTAL RESTRICTIONS: Designated generating plants may receive temporary emergency operating flexibility to maintain electricity supplies.
NO SCHEDULED BLACKOUTS HAVE BEEN ANNOUNCED.
Federal officials say the emergency powers are intended to prevent outages, not signal that widespread blackouts are inevitable.
The declaration comes as Maryland residents confront rising electricity bills and growing concerns about whether regional power generation can keep pace with demand.
THE ACCOUNTABILITY QUESTION: If Maryland’s electricity system is already facing emergency supply constraints in October, how will utilities accommodate additional data centers, electrification mandates, and future demand without further straining reliability or increasing costs for ratepayers?

Hoo-boy… this poor lady needs a wellness check. 😬 What a miserable existence liberal women must live. 🥴
This never happened before @GovWesMoore fight against power generation
PJM has issued a Maximum Generation Alert and Load Management Alert for Oct. 13 ahead of expected tight system conditions caused by unusually warm fall weather and planned equipment outages required for maintenance and construction.
