Having watched ITV’s undercover investigation into Reform UK, I’m struggling to understand how the party can recover from such a damning exposé. More disturbing still is the willingness of its supporters to defend the indefensible.

I didn't see anything in the @ITV Undercover - A Year in Reform exposé to convince me that bigotry, racism, misogyny and xenophobia is not systemic and rampant in Reform UK. God help us all if they ever get anywhere near government.

Watching ITV’s Reform documentary, and what’s shocking is how casually racism is treated.
An undercover reporter admits supporting Tommy Robinson. Instead of being rejected, they’re told how to hide their social media history and get through vetting.
Think about that. Reform officials are effectively showing people with far-right sympathies how to become candidates.
And Farage expects us to believe it’s all just a few bad apples.

This morning, I appeared on BBC Politics North to challenge Andy Burnham’s position on Brexit, which I believe is a blatant betrayal of the 17.4 million people who voted to leave the European Union.
Over 61% of Sunderland voted Leave. We did not vote for Brexit in name only, creeping EU control or politicians dragging us back towards Brussels through the back door.
We voted to take back control of our borders, our laws and our sovereignty. That democratic mandate is not up for renegotiation.
I am sick and tired of politicians treating the referendum result as an inconvenience to be worked around.
Sunderland voted Leave, and I will never apologise for standing by that decision.
Brexit must be delivered, not diluted, undermined or reversed. 🇬🇧
