We got away with nothing.
As I recall we got a transfer ban in 2019, huge fines, suspended transfer bans, and other sanctions for what we did.
And unlike City we self reported and cooperated, and never breached FFP.

So many issues in the UK, boil down to this mindset. The insufferable attitude that poverty is noble. The outright lie that this salary makes you rich. The view that achieving things, should make you feel embarrassed.
The fact that salaries are so low, and that prime time TV has a Money Saving Expert telling us how to save £20 a year on our gas bills, should be completely shameful and embarrassing to us. This shit isn’t noble. It’s communism.
