Saudi Arabia built a pipeline in the 1980s to avoid this problem. The East-West pipeline carries crude across the country to the Red Sea. Drones damaged it this month, and it is expected to restart at only half its size.

Companies that make machines used to produce computer chips are about to see much bigger spending
Global spending on chip manufacturing equipment was 117 billion dollars in 2025 By 2028, it reaches 229 billion dollars. Nearly doubling in 3 years because AI needs faster chips.
Applied Materials is putting 5 billion dollars into India over 10 years. Lam Research is putting 10000 crore to build its first manufacturing facility in India. They want Indian companies to supply parts and materials for their machines.
Equipment spending reshapes supplier maps
Sansera Engineering is known for making auto parts like connecting rods and crankshafts But now it is moving into chip equipment manufacturing. In August 2026, Sansera won 180 million dollar order to make precision parts for semiconductor machines.
Company stock went up over 140% this year. Sansera does not make chips. It makes metal parts that go inside machines that chip factories use that business grew 155% last year and has 4463 crore in pending orders
Indian government changed its chip strategy in July 2026. First phase of India Semiconductor Mission focused on getting chip factories built.
Second phase, ISM 2.0, got 1.27 lakh crore budget. It now includes equipment makers, specialty chemicals, gases, and design companies. At SEMICON India 2026, major global equipment companies announced investments in India. None of them announced any new chip factory.
They came to build supply chains for equipment parts instead. Centum Electronics already earns 17% of its revenue from semiconductor equipment work. Policy shifted from fabs to equipment supply
Chinese car brands now take almost 12% of Europe's car market, double a year ago
Every European carmaker lost share in Europe; only Tesla and the Chinese gained. Volkswagen cut its profit-margin forecast, and Stellantis stopped making the Fiat 500 at Mirafiori in Italy, expecting about 60,000 cars this year instead of 100,000.
Not good for Indian Pure Auto Supplier if it only Dependent on EU or in 1 segment Chinese will not Give Anything :)
Buyers responded by trading down to a better used phone rather than a cheaper new one
New phones are getting expensive because memory chips inside them are in short supply
Companies making these chips prefer selling to AI firms who pay more for data center parts. Counterpoint found memory prices jumped 300% in 12 months by mid 2026. Gartner says phone prices will go up 13% compared to last year. Budget phones face 20 to 30% higher production costs.
Phone brands either raise prices or cut features down. Refurbished phones from 2024 still come with better specs than new budget phones available today
India market for refurbished phones is worth 4 to 5 billion dollars but 80% of buying and selling still happens in local shops with no warranty or quality checks. Only 20% goes through organized platforms.
GNG Electronics proved stock market investors want recommerce companies. It listed on BSE and now has ₹7,714 crore market cap. Cashify hired bankers for ₹1,800 crore IPO expected in early 2027.
OLX shut down its C2C marketplace in India back in 2023. Experts expect organized share to reach 40 to 50% by 2030
7 out of 10 Indians still keep 2 to 3 old phones at home that they do not use. These phones are worth billions but nobody collects them in any organized way.
Quality of phones entering secondhand market is getting better fast. In 2022 only 5% of phones sold to Cashify were 5G capable. By 2025 that number reached 54.6% of all buybacks.
On resale side, 5G phones went from 18.4% to 61% of refurbished sales in 12 months. OLED screens rose from 2% to 7% of refurbished display shipments
India output of capital goods (machines that make other things) roughly doubled in 5 years, but the gains were uneven, as the chart shows. Almost none of it came from electronics, solar or process plant equipment.
US Data Center is on brink of Protest, Good News for Commodity, Hardware is real winner, tons of IPO is going to be surprise Indian market
The things that are physically short right now: safe sea lanes, oil in storage, and electricity for both steel mills and AI.
Data centres need huge, steady amounts of power, and the grid in many US states cannot connect them fast enough. Governments and grid operators are starting to push back.
sudden swings in power use between busy and idle AI chips can cause local blackouts if servers are plugged straight into the grid. So a data centre now needs its own power plant, batteries and grid approval, and each adds time and cost.
China is trying to turn AI into an industrial weapon, not just make better chatbots
Chinese AI companies are giving away their best models for free. In 18 months, their share of global LLM usage jumped from 1.2% to 45% on OpenRouter. Alibaba Qwen model has been downloaded over 1 billion times on Hugging Face, more than Meta Llama. 70% of new AI models built by developers everywhere are now based on Qwen code
About 80% of US AI startups use Chinese open-source models in their products. When your tools run on free Chinese models, that changes who holds influence over AI development longer term if its works
China is running out of young workers. In 2025, only 7.92 million babies were born while 11.31 million people died. Working-age population fell by 6.62 million in one year. Same year, China put 354,000 new industrial robots into its factories, 59% of every robot installed anywhere.
More robots went into Chinese factories than babies were born in China. By 2050, China may have 250 million fewer working-age people. Robots are not optional now. They are direct replacements for people who will not be born
Nvidia used to sell 95% of AI chips in China. By 2026, US export controls dropped that to about 8%. Huawei filled most of that gap, its Ascend chips now powering 50-60% of China's AI computing.
Each Ascend runs at about 60% of Nvidia H100 capacity that is enough for running AI applications, which is where 70% of compute demand sits now. Training new models is harder on these chips, but running existing ones works fine.
World now has two separate AI computing systems that do not connect well
AI models → robots → factories → higher productivity → stronger Chinese manufacturing. China already has more than 2 million industrial robots operating in factories
One Have to look at this with Game Theory Angle if yu Control Economy, Defence & Emerging Tech Yu control the Outcome of Subjects :)

Big Western drug companies will lose $200 to 350 billion per year by 2030 because patents on best selling medicines are expiring
They need new drugs fast but internal research is too slow and expensive. Chinese biotech companies now offer finished drug candidates at 60 to 70% lower cost than Western equivalents. Licensing deals from China jumped from $13.9 billion in 2021 to $137.7 billion in 2025.
In just Q1 2026, Chinese companies signed $60 billion in new deals. AstraZeneca signed 9 deals worth $20 billion with Chinese labs
That says a lot i feel AI will help the western maker but how much it depends India will come too in next 10 year :)
China now dominates 91% of global licensing value for ADC cancer drugs and 62% for RNA treatments as of H1 2026. In 2018 China had only 8% share of innovative drug candidates globally. By 2026 that reached 30% while US share dropped from 47% to 36%.
China also runs more clinical trials than US now, roughly 7,700 versus 6,300 in 2025. Drug approval timelines in China fell from 501 days before 2015 to just 87 days today. China's drug regulator approved 289 new medicines in 2025 alone
China is pretty efficient while India Own Drug Regulator is pathetic but thanks to US FDA
Chinese biotech companies are good at developing drugs but weak at selling them internationally. So they license drugs to Western firms who handle global sales
Interesting
Innovent Biologics has done 7 deals with Eli Lilly, most recent worth up to $8.5 billion. Legend Biotech made first Chinese cancer therapy approved for sale in US, and it reached roughly $2 billion in global sales in 2025 through Johnson and Johnson's distribution network.
Over time Chinese companies will learn to sell directly. Until then, licensing creates value for both sides. 😎

The balance of power changes when the distribution of power changes. For the distribution of power to change, one needs to be powerful first. So if you want to change the balance of power, focus on (economic and military) power and its strategic deployment, not on balance.

New Update is Garware signed partnership with Lubrizol, owned by Berkshire Hathaway, to make specialty chemicals used in car films and industrial products. Garware is spending ₹118 crore to build its own TPU film plant in India, going live December 2026.
Lubrizol provides raw material recipes, Garware makes and sells finished films globally. Garware pays no technology fee for this. TPU will become Garware's fourth business segment targeting ₹200 to 500 crore revenue in 3 years from zero.
Company also hired scientist from overseas with 60 plus patents to develop new products
Garware reached 30% EBITDA margin for first time ever in Q1 FY27. Revenue was ₹633 crore, 28% higher than same quarter last year. Profit after tax grew 60% to ₹133 crore with no special items helping.
Full year FY26 revenue was ₹2,120 crore. Stock price has doubled in 12 months. In their specialty films, raw material cost is only 10 to 12% of what customers pay, rest is value added through chemistry.
India trade body recommended duty on cheap Chinese PPF imports, still awaiting final government order.
India Supreme Court banned car window tinting in 2012, killing demand for Garware main product at home for nearly 10 years. Rules changed in 2020 requiring 70% visible light to pass through film on car windows. That standard works in Garware's favor because cheap dark films cannot pass 70% light and still block heat.
Only advanced chemistry based films qualify. Architecture segment tripled in 3 years and Garware now runs 250 plus studios across India for direct consumer sales. Company targets 200 studios next

Pine Labs built P3P, which lets AI software buy and pay for you on UPI without needing PIN entry every time
You approve once, set spending limits, and AI handles buying. Gullak digital gold app already uses it. Today Pine Labs partnered with Google Cloud so small shop owners can use AI to create ads on Google Search and YouTube. Pine Labs wants to become payment layer between AI programs and India 60 million small businesses.
Expects AI driven commerce to reach $1 to 5 trillion by 2030
Pine Labs serves over 988,000 merchants and 177 financial institutions in 20 countries. It processed ₹11,425 billion worth of payments in FY25. Revenue reached ₹2,832 crore in FY26.
In February 2026 Pine Labs won contracts to put 130,000 payment machines at BPCL, HPCL and IOCL petrol pumps across India. Mastercard recently sold its entire 4.3% stake for ₹892 crore.
India NPCI is creating rules for AI programs to make payments on UPI with preset spending limits and identity checks. UPI already processes 2,366 crore transactions worth ₹29.9 lakh crore per month.
Pine Labs is first Indian company with working AI payments on UPI through its P3P system. Razorpay tested similar payments with OpenAI ChatGPT in late 2025. Mastercard ran India first AI transaction in June 2026. Visa is building its own version separately.
India could rank among earliest countries where national payment systems support AI buying - Indian fintech is way better than many :)
